Remarks

Eligibility is through NEET. Both All India Quota (15%) and State Quota (85%). NEET application detils can be found on the NTA Website. After giving NEET, wait for the results. Apply for State and All India counselling.

I chose MBBS because it was something I had always found interesting. The faculty: student ratio is decent and the syllabus is covered effectively using a combination of powerpoint based theory classes and laboratory practicals.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 13100 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuiton fees is roughly around 13000-13500 per anum. There are no fee hike policies, it is a standardised amount. There are multiple scholarships available including the community scholarship and the first graduate shcolarship.

Sports fest - Stanlea. Academic fest - Empower Cultutral fest - Euphoria Ample opportunities are made avialable for the students to excel in sports and culturals. there are multiple clubs that focus on non-academic stuff as weel.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are clean and comfortable. The menu is diverse and offers a variety of vegetarian and non - vegetraian options. The hostel is affordable and it is situated close the college campus. three students are required to share a room.

White Coat Beginnings

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Stanley medical college- a student’s review

I applied to Madras medical college and the AIIMS and JIPMER institutes.
