What Students Say
Likes
- Faculties are amazing they genuinely want you to do good in academics
- Curriculum is pretty relaxed and very manageable
- There are a lot of clubs almost for every activity you can think of.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is outdated, the college is almost 100 years old so it makes sense.
- Hostel rooms are very congested and you don't even get a room in 1st year
- Although I like most of the faculties some of them just can't teach, they're national gold medalists but still can't teach.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really good, thr faculties are very dedicated and smart. Many of the faculties are one of the best in India. The number of classes you have to take are very less. Generally you have to take theory between 8AM to 1 PM and Lab from 2 to 4 PM. I never had more than 4 Theory class in a day so everything is pretty relaxed and you get plenty of time to do extra curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities
The college had partnerships with various companies. Internship roles varied from software development to mechanical engineering projects. Stipends ranged from 1600 to 10000per month based on the project and duration. Some project outcomes included innovative software solutions for local businesses and improved mechanical designs for industrial purposes. For more specific details, I'd recommend reaching out directly to the college's placement cell or checking their recent internship updates.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fees was 18000 for first year but now it's increased to 23000 but for 2,3,4 year it's around 5600 rupees which is one of the lowest in the country for B.Tech. hostel fees is around 2200/year and 1600ish/month for mess. There are a lot of scholarships by various institutions and allumuni associations. You can also apply for UP and Central government scholarships.
Campus Life
In terms of sports you can do a lot. The sports facilities in the campus are amazing. There are a lot of clubs too for different interests. Drama, writing, programming, music all kinds of clubs are there in the university.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are not that great I'd say. But you're paying a minimum so you can't complain. The facilities are good, all kinds of sports and games are available and reading rooms are air conditioned. The mess food is really bad. You can use tiffin services if you want.
Admission
You have to appear in AMUEEE examination for admission in the college. The exam's syllabus is almost same as JEE but questions are slightly easier, you get 3 hours for 150 multiple choice questions. The exam's application fees is about Rs.900 . You can find application form at the website of exam controller of AMU. The forms are released in March-April. There are seat reserved for Internal, Children of Employees and Children of allumunis, Also the caste reservation is here. The University does not provide EWS reservation as the fees is already pretty low.
