Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course so that I could help my father in his business. Also there are so many Government job opportunities in this field. The faculty-to-student ratio is a measure that indicates the number of academic staff (faculty) compared to the number of students at an educational institution. A lower ratio often suggests smaller class sizes and potentially more personalized attention for students, fostering a conducive learning environment. Conversely, a higher ratio may indicate larger class sizes and potentially less individualized attention. It's a metric commonly used to assess the level of interaction and support students can expect within a given academic setting.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

To find the most accurate and up-to-date information on internship opportunities at CGC Jhanjeri, I recommend visiting the official website of CGC Jhanjeri or contacting the placement or career services department of the institution directly. They can provide you with details on available internships, application processes, and any other relevant information. If you have specific companies or industries in mind, you might also consider reaching out to those organizations directly to inquire about internship possibilities. Many institutions also conduct career fairs or networking events where students can connect with potential employers for internships and future employment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure varies widely among institutions, and it's influenced by factors such as location, program of study, and type of institution. Scholarships and financial assistance programs are commonly available to help students manage costs. These can be merit-based, need-based, or specific to particular fields of study. Additionally, some institutions offer campus jobs or work-study programs, providing students with opportunities to earn money while gaining valuable experience. It's advisable for prospective students to explore the specific offerings and eligibility criteria of scholarships and financial aid at the institution they are interested in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
