My College trivia

• I chose the Diploma in Electronics course because there a lot new opportunities coming in the electronics industry which will provide a decent career path. • The faculty to student ratio is about 1 to 15-20, which is decent. • Most of the faculty have masters degree or PhD in their particular field. So all of them are well educated but the teaching methods can differ for each faculty because not every good student is good teacher. The faculty vary from young to old so their teaching methods also depends on it. Some are still stuck in old teaching methods while others adopt latest digital method of teaching. •The exams are conducted two times in each semester so for one year four exams are conducted. The first exam is mid semester exam which covers half the semester syllabus while the second one covers the whole syllabus of the semester. It is not that difficult to pass the exam if you attend most of the classes and submit all assignments as well as practical file and study too.

The fees for first year is Rs.15000/- The fees for second year is Rs.16500/- The fees for third year is Rs.18000/- The fees is divided in half for each semester of their respective year. You also have to manage other costs which are traveling, stationary, projects, etc. You can get some scholarship during your first year. You can check out the DSEU website for the availability of the scholarship and fill out the forms and you might get some depending on your circumstances. You can also get scholarship based on your marks during the first year which they will send to your account.

• The annual fest and tech fest are not conducted at our campus. The only fest which is conducted at the campus is sports fest which is held twice in a semester in the weekend(Fri, Sat). There are some other events too which are held on our campus but they are announced when they are about to happen ,ie., they are not regular. • Availability of books and journals is good in library. You can find all subjects related books in the library and also the latest journals as well. • Amenities in classroom is decent. You have good enough desks to study and ceiling fans are available and also you can have air conditioner if you are in a practical lab. Watercooler and washrooms are available as well. • You can play sports in the sports fest and other extra curricular activities will be held in campus as form several competition in an event. • DSEU social handles on Instagram and Facebook are run by students which provides information for students.

• You are eligible for the course if you have completed 10th. • You can find application form online in the DSEU website and the entrance exam is called CET(Common Entrance Exam). You will have to pay for the application form on the website. You can fill the application form in June or July and the details of entrance exam for each year will be available on their site. • Yes there are reserved benefits available for SC, ST and OBC. There are quota reserved seats in the entrance exam. • Yes I would like them to speed up the process of filling the application form to entrance exam to allotment of seats a little bit.
