My college experience

After selection in engineering college, I opted electronics and communication because I was fascinated in robotics technology. We were 80 students in class and 7 teachers were there for teaching 7 subjects per semester. Qualification of teachers were good. Most of them had completed post graduation and their teaching method was satisfactory. Term exams were timely there after the end of each semester. It was not that difficult to clear. We cleared the exams with few days preparation before exam.

Students were eligible for campus placement during 7th semester. There were few companies visited like BSNL,AIRTEL and some small software companies. Some students were selected as software engineers but there was no placement in electronics and communication. The highest package received was 4 Lpa and average package was 1.5 lakh. I did not get campus placement. So I started giving interviews externally in other cities. Percentage of students in campus placement was very less. It was around 1-2%.

Total graduation was of 4 years so there were total 8 semesters and fee structure was on yearly basis. I had taken education loan for completing graduation. There was no financial assistance from college. There was no fees hike policy. My total graduation cost was 2 lakh. There was no campus placement from college. I found job from external searching after graduation.

There were SPIET annual fest and technical fest on the month of Aug and Sep. There were all kinds of books in library like physics , chemistry, Mathematics and other technical subjects related to course. There were quite good aminities in classroom like benches, blackboard, fans. There was a separate playing campus for sports and separate building for extra curricular activites. There was a separate basket ball court and swimming pool as per interest and choice of sport. There was no social group and no website run by students.

Yes , After completing my 12th class, I participated in AIEEE exam. So I opted college as per my rank in that exam. I filled the application form in an internet cafe and chose electronics and communication after selection in college. All details about application form, application fees and dated were found online.
