Should you go for kiet or not?

I'm doing btech in CSE as if u are in a tier 3 engineering college it is better if u go for cse or IT because there is more scope for jobs The faculty Student ratio is about 1 faculty for 30 students but there is no problem as the faculty is very helpful The faculty is well qualified most of them have btech and mtech both degrees and are good in there subjects The exams are quite hectic as the schedule is very packed there are exams every 1 month internals are done and then external exams happen every 5 months for each sem which is conducted by the aktu university

There are less internship opportunity provided by the college so you have to work on your own skill from first year beginning by joining the coding societies as they would help alot The girl students get opportunities provided by ATLASSIAN and MICROSOFT under there female hiring program in the 5 semester of btech and a stipend of around 30000 a month for 6 months The projects are provided by TBI of the college which also funds the startup ideas for the students and also provide opportunity for developers

In the start of 7th semester the placements starts and companies start visiting till the end of 8th sem and companies mainly the mass recruiters like TCS ,WIPRO , COGNIZANT,INFOSYS hire major students at a package of 3.5 lakhs to 9 lakhs SAMSUNG made few offers worth 8.5 lakhs to core ece students Mainly software developer hire for jobs so having DSA knowledge is important for CSE and IT students and also for the core because all the branch students are allowed to sit for placement in tech companies Highest package is 48 lakhs in ATLASSIAN of campus and average is 5 lakhs and on campus higheest is 16 lakhs in SAMSUNG 70% students got placed And my plan after getting the degree is getting placed and then after few years doing masters to upskill my self and earn more

The fees of the course if u take hostel too would be around 9-10 lakhs for 4 years which is optimal fees for a engineering college and there is no hike in the fees as you would be provided with the fee structure for 4 years at the time of admission . There are scholarships and the biggest is the UP scholarship by the government which gives 60000 per year to students having family income less than 2lakh per annum We get placed on campus in 7th semesters when companies come for hiring and interships oppourtunity before 7th sem depends on how well u study by your own

There is an annual fest organised which is called Epoque and Prastuti ,last year Darshan Raval and nina dobrev came for performance ,it happens in march The tech fest is Innotech which is conducted in december and few more events are organised by clubs in the college as the E-Cell of the college organises a tech and cultural program every year in aug-october The library is good you get all the books you want and also a study room is there which is open till 2 am at night Classrooms have ac and each seat has charging switches attached which makes charging mobile and laptop easy Sports is not very well managed but there is a sports room and you can borrow and play any sport as there is basketball court,football ground ,cricket ground ,badminton court ,tennis court,volleyball court Clubs like dance clubs music club dramatics club and movie club karate club are there also 3 coding societies are there but they get less support from the college incase of funds

The room is good spacious enough ,there are different hostel for girls and boys and the hostels of girls and boys are further divided according to year like 1st year have a different hostel and so on. Fascilities are good , you can opy for an ac room too ,there are 3 seater and 2 seater room also few single seater room but few restrictions are here are there like u cannot go out of college without permission after 9 for boys and after 8 pm for girls Food quality is just average not good enough 2 out of 7 days we go out to eat as the food is not soo good For taking hostel you just have to apply at the start of every year and pay the hostel fee around 95000 per year There are many PG outside the campus in walking distance which are little less costly around 70000 per year but in PG there is a case of safety issue , so in first year go for hostel inside campus and once you know everything well go for PG after that as the locality is a bit in outskirts of ghaziabad that is muradnagar

The eligibility for the admission is 12th pass. The admission is done through two ways either through the jee mains rank and for that you have to fill the from through Abdul Kalam technical university as the college comes under AKTU you can find the form on aktu website Second way of admission is direct admission through your boards percentage for which you have to come on college website kiet.edu and fill the form If u belong to UP then you get privilage as the seats are reserved for UP students and also there is benefits obc , sc ,st
