Best engineering college in Gwalior

I would suggest you to go for this college if u want wholesome development of your personality.

I entered this college after clearing JEE - MAIN Exam 2017. I got 174 marks out of a possible 360. I got a rank of 15500 in general category and 3233 rank in OBC category. This college was alloted to me in first round of JOSAA counseling. I freezed my choice in first round only. There was no interview process following JOSAA counseling. There are many reasons for choosing B.Tech in CSE in this college. First of all CSE was my preferred branch. Moreover, Gwalior is near my hometown Jhansi. Additionally, my rank permitted me this college only. Last but not the least, this is an institute of national importance. So, I chose this.

The course I choose is well below my expectations. My college has started the course this year only. So , they don't have a good layout of what-to-dos. They have included some unnecessary subjects also. There is equal focus on practical learning as on theory. There are many research initiatives taken by my college. You can get a detailed list on the official website of college.As I am a first year student only, I can't give any information about electives.

Yes there are a lots of internships available. I have not taken one till now so I can't comment on stipend and experience.

Placement scenario here is quite good. Most of them got placed somewhere. About 40% got decent packages. Major companies are Amazon, Paytm, Workapps, Infosys etc. Average package is above 10 lakhs per annum.

Technical and cultural events are awesome. We have many clubs like AASF , Uthaan which always provide us with something new.

The fees is Rs 86900 for first semester. For next semesters , it is Rs 72500. This includes hostel and mess fees also. As I am from a poor family , the fees is clearly not affordable. I am searching for loans or scholarships.

For very poor students, there is relaxation in tution fees. For others, there is no such scholarship.

There are lots of extra-curricular activities like debate, singing, dancing, sports etc. You will definitely enjoy here.

I am a hosteler. There is option to opt for single room or double room in first year. The students choose room according to their convenience. I am in single room. There are no PGs. The quality of food is not that bad. You can survive here.

Frequency of exams and labs is OK. Any good student will manage it.There are 2 minor exams of 20 marks each and one major exam of 50 marks in each subject. Rest 10 marks are alloted to assignments and surprise quizzes.This culture doesn't make me tired. I enjoy it.

The faculty here is well qualified but some of them are not that much experienced. They are pretty much interactive with students. The standard of teaching is not upto the mark. Most of the faculty is not interested in teaching. Too many classes are cancelled. Moreover, every now and then , a research scholar comes to teach in their place.
