The overall experience of college is not so good and the college Cateen is not so good, library facility is good, Infrastructure of college is not so good, but enjoyed a lot only becoz of faculties who helped me in showing my inner talent.
Entrance Preview
I have wrote Karnataka Cet(KCET),JEE MAINS entrance exam. My CET rank was 43,000 and for B.E Mechatronics we have only 2 colleges in Bangalore,1 is Acharya and 1 is oxford. Depending on my rank i got seat in oxford college of engineering.There was no interview process was followed. I was interested in automation and robotics so this made me to choose Mechatronics engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is B.E mechanics. Course was really good but some of the syllabus are still outdated. Focus on practical learning was less as college need high investment to setup lab for Mechatronics engineering. We have research center in our college in electronics and communication department.
Internships Opportunities
The college did not provide any internship till now. If u want to do internship then u should only search for internship and get permission from college to do internship.I don't have any experience as i have not done any internship till now.Some internship will be free of cost,But for some internships we have to pay.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is not too good. The percentage of students got placed every year will be very less. Once a German company had come and took two members from our college and in that two members one was from our department. So last year 2-4 members got selected in placement from our department. Most of the IT companies visited our college.
College Events
We don't have cultural and Managerial fests ,but we have technical events in our college like science exhibition which is conducted every year, maths exhibition, this time they have conducted quiz competition, painting/sketching competetion. They are not so big technical events. All the faculties and event coordinators organized the event very well
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fees was affordable as i joined the oxford college of engineering through Karnataka CET(KCET).My CET fees was 45,000/- rupees and my college fees was 12,000/- rupees for the first year,for second year i paid 54,000/- rupees and for third year i paid around 52,000/- with this i paid around 66,150/- rupees for hostel every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
College do not provide any scholarship, but they inform other scholarship which are provided by government and they even display on notice board. College helps in getting education loans through banks,i do not more details about education loan
Campus Life
In terms of extracurricular s our college very poor, but we get opportunities to explore our inner talents through projects and other technical activites. Faculities are good, facilities encourages students to show their inner talent and even help them, support them to explore their inner talents
Hostel Facilities
Yes i am residing in hostel. Hostel is like ok ok but not up to the mark. They are no single rooms provided here only sharing rooms are provided, in some rooms there are two people sharing but in some rooms there three or four people sharing. This college do not have any PG facilities but we have many PG's near our college, so there is no staying problem. The food facility is not proper. The fee structure for hostel changes every year but now presently it is 66,150/- for 3rd year of engineering. the food condition in this college hostel is not so good.
Alumni/Alumna
The college will not provide any interaction between the alumni and students.
Exam Structure
The exams and the labs will not frequently make me feel tired at the end of the day because the subjects are not so difficult to clear. Sometimes some answers for given questions in exam will be lengthy which take more time to write, this can make me feel tired at the end of the day. So it was chill culture for me.
Faculty
Highly much qualified and experienced faculties are not there but the faculties are much interactive with the students and the faculties will be always friendly with all the students. The standard of faculty teaching in our college is pretty less because the college hires the faculties who have finished their master degree recently (M.tech).
