Good college

The security is very good here. There are a lot of security personals.

The admission procedures to this college was through JEE Mains. I had reservation benefits and thereby I got admitted to this college. During counselling we had to fill up choices and I had made this college my second option, but now I realize that it was one of those mistakes I made. I should have gone for some other reputed NITs rather than choosing a IIIT. There were no interviews. The admission procedure was straight forward. I just had to submit all the required documents and done, I was through. From childhood I had a passion for computers and hence I choose B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

The course is of great demand all over India. But I don't know about this college because this is the first time B.Tech in CSE is being implemented. So I'm of the first CSE batch. No one knows about what kind of placements we are going to get because all other programs are integrated ones(B.Tech+M.Tech &B.Tech+MBA). So there is a possibility that companies will choose them over us. So far the curriculum consists of Physical Education, Communication Skills, Physics which are not important for computer science students. Also programming is taught theoretically and less practice has been provided. We do have 4 hours of programming session every week but it's not effective. No electives have been provided till now

The college does not provide any internships. We'll have to find it.

Placements are good, but not among the best. Average package is around 5-6 LPA. About 50% of the students get placed. The major companies are Amazon, Smartprix, Worksapp, Paytm.

Fee is a bit large here. For the first year we had to pay 86,900 (tuition+hostel+mess). For the coming years it will be around 72,400. They are not providing good facilities for this high fee taken.

B.Tech students are provided single rooms while other batches are provided on sharing basis. We do have PhD scholars in our lobby. They are very helpful and friendly. All the first years are in a single hostel. We have to pay 21,500(11,500 for Mess & 10,000 for room). Mess food is very bad. Students are getting food poisoning frequently.

Exams are conducted frequently. We'll be having two minors and a major examinations for a semester. That too in a span of 4 months. Just one hour of written exam and nothing for the rest of the day.

Faculties are good. Everyone are PhD qualified with more than 10 years of experience. There are very interactive and helpful.
