BTech Life in MDU: All you need to know

I choose this course as it's demand is growing very well in industry and I'm a tech guy from school. The course curriculum is recently revised and very engaging. The faculty:student ratio is very less as expected. About 4 of the 6 teachers who taught me in 3rd semester are actually phd scholars. Teaching method of every teacher is good except some who repeatedly teach only theory and that goes above my head. In first year my teaching term is very short about 2 months for both semester. But in 2nd year it's like 4 months that is pretty good. It was not difficult to pass in exams you just have to read previous year paper and should do some practice.

My college offers on campus placement after 3rd year and there are more than 20 companies that visit regularly but the offering number is very less as every company gives offer to 2-3 students only after interviewing process. The highest package till now is 64 lpa as my professor says but i don't know whether it's a truth. The average package on what I have personally seen is 6 lpa and percentage of student getting on campus is 50 percent or less. I am going to apply in off campus as much companies I can and i will surely get the best i deserve.

The fee structure is very high and recently in 2nd year there was a hike of more than 10 percent in the fees. It's very bad for our college to do this unexpectedly. But i managed to secure a fee waviour for TFW which was given to like 5 Meritious students on first come first basis. It reduced my tution fees to 0 and total fees to about 20000.

There are plenty of fests in our college. There's about 2-3 events every month in the auditorium. The last Tech Fest organised by my department was on engineers day. Books are easily available as there's huge volume of books in Vivekanand Library and department library. Also SportTech happens every year including 20+ sports and eSports also. There are many tech clubs run by students. There is Google DSC, GirlScrpt etc. and some small groups like ByteSquad, Coding Bits etc.

The admissions in all the btech courses are done on the basis of JEE Mains Rank only. Additionally the admission process is driven by Haryana State Technical Education Society, Panchkula. The whole process is made online on the hstes website and there was 2 merit list out with a difference of 15 days and Physical Counselling took place in the campus for the vacant seats. My name came in the first merit list so it was very easy for me to proceed for admission process. I went to the Conference Hall in the department and there I showed my admission letter by hstes, then I got an empty file and a form and got instructed about to fill it. The teachers are cooperative and i asked about 2-3 things I doubted. After making the file, I got assigned my roll no and have to go for fee payment. There I first made a profile on student portal but the payment gateway isn't working properly. I waited for two hours there but made no change. My admission process completed the next day.
