Less fees, Time saving as no compulsion of attendence.

Dislikes

No proper support to students for their doubts. U will go crazy when u will see the staff ignoring ur problem and just saying "kal aana kal dekhte hai" and other bhanas(excuses). When u complain about this to higher authorities, they will just tell
u to write an application and they will see to it, and again the same thing..
They will only listen to u when u irritate them by going and complaining them.They will get fed up seeing ur face nd then u win. 1 out of 10 center of ignou is good rest same situation at other centers.

Course Curriculum Overview

BCA from ignou is good specially if u r working. U only have to submit the semester assignment and appear for semester exams. I opted this University as I am working in a part time job so it suited me. Qualification of the faculty is from avg to good. U will not find someone giving all the answers to ur doubts, they will solve only those questions which they know and show no interest in finding the answers for the doubt u have. The curriculum is also needs revision as much new technology r in the market and this University is still stuck on old edition. Difficulty is good of passing exams, u have to study regularly or atleast 4 days/week, to pass the exam. Student ratio is good, I can say 6:4, boys:girls.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is not that much as this University provide distance learning so more or less it had a hike of 6-7% in 2years since I enrolled. Examination fees also increased at the same rate. It is bit on cheaper side when comes to cost to study. No scholarship, no internship. The moto is clear pay the fee, get ur degree and sayonara..

Campus Life

No such things, u even barely get to know ur classmates in context of their name or even face.. As it is a distance learning University, u will have 0 social group or I say college life.. About library, u will only get to go to ur campus for submitting assignments/report etc. and 1nc to take exam. So it has no concern about availability of library.

Admission

Admission process is smooth. Just fill up the form by providing required credentials and u will get a notification about ur enrollment in the opted course along with all the necessary details on ur mail. It may take 2-4 weeks.

Placements are also very good for a bachlor course my seniors have got package upto 4lpa and many are placed as junior developer in many MNCs . Some are building their own business . overall best college in Delhi Ncr for bca without maths students.

We have placement cell in our department and it is mostly active. Though, most of students go for higher studies after BCA but, If you want you can be placed in a good company if You have the skills . The college would help .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i really like things about electronics, i feel attracted towards computer and stuff from childhood, then after opting computer science in 12th , i know what i want to do and chose this course. Talking about the faculty members, there is more than enough faculty members to handle the students, actually its more like a School where if one teacher is absent then some other teacher take the class. As far as the qualification of teachers is considered, i feel like they know how to teach there partiy subject, and that should be more than enough for students, teachers are nice and supportive towards students which i like the most about them. There are 2 semester in each year of course, in each semester there is one mid term exams and one end term exam, internal practical and external practical exams were akso held in each semester, and difficulty of exams is not so high, actually our teachers says that in IPU the more you write, the more you marks you get.

Remarks:

Can't say, first of all it's distance education and the lifestyle is such that it's ok to have what they have offered us in such a price range. Classes take place on weekends and hence you can hang out with friends outside the premises.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths.
