The things I liked the most are placement percentage, good senior junior relation.

Dislikes

The things I disliked most are fistly our campus is open so the security is hampered.
The campus is not well organised and It does not have GYM. And also It does not have shop of necessary items.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is quite good and about 80 percent of faculty member are good. I have chosen this course because I am intersested in the works done by engineers. The teacher has done their phd from IIT and regional institutes. The teaching style is 50 percent classical and 50 percent modern. The examination are conducted twice in a semester called as mid semester and end semester. The the examination is moderately difficult to pass.

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 210000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the course is similar to all the NITs that is around 2 to 2.5 lakh annually. The Institute don't provide fee remission on the time. Their only few scholarships available for general students. Although Bank loans are available. The college has good percentage of placement of candidates on campus.

Campus Life

The college life at NIT Jamshedpur is not upto the mark. The technical clubs are not much active except one or two. Although the infrastructure is quite good. We have two major fect one is cultural fest called Culfest held in month of Feburay and another is technical fest named Ojass held in month of April. The library contain almost all couse related books. Our classroom is fully air conditioned with a projector. Their is an availability of many sports and urja is our sport fest and extra curricular activities like dancing, painting group discuss etc. Our entrepreneurship club called Ecell is run by student. Also the the training and placement cell TAB is also run by student and are for the students

Admission

The Admission process is a chain of small steps. I have given JEE Main entrance Examination. For that I have to fill the application form from NTA website. In my year the general cutoff of examination is approx 90.7 percentile. The detail of application form , fee and dates are available on official website of NTA. I got admission through EWS reservation. I think the Admission process is quite good.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . You have to score at least 75% in class 12th board to get admission ....Read More

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
