The natural beauty of the campus is extravagant
The students in the college are very friendly and nice
The fest like alcheringa are really fun with friends

The faculty could have been improved more
The course has some irrelevant topics which should be replaced with new things now
The food in some hostel mess are not that good

Course Curriculum Overview

I had interest in computer science and engineering so i chose this course.. the faculties are well qualified and most of them are fine tho its better to give your own efforts.. the exams were almost after 4 weeks gaps and its easy to get low grades

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship interviews start at the 5th sem i.e 3rd year starting. The internships are offered by many good companies with high stipends like 1lakh per month .. around 50% of computer science and engineering students get the internship.

Placement Experience

The placements of our College are extremely good with the Computer science and engineering branch having the average placement of around 40 lpa . Also the selection rate is also high like for the CSE its around 95% .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure consists of many things such as hostel , mess , hospital, sports , etc.. though the tution fees are really high in my opinion.. its 1 lakh and i dont think the faculties provieded by them are at level to compensate the cost.

Campus Life

The annual fest we have is alcheringa which is biggest fest in north india .. its generally conducted in month of February.. then there are many other feat like Techniche , Udgam etc which are good as well

Admission

I did jee mains then gave jee advanced then got good rank so got entry into IIT Guwahati CSE because of the OBC reservation .. the reservation definitely helped because for a general student the rank required for the same is around 600 but for obc it was 1700

I would rate my course 4 because there are many jobs opportunity are coming up in the various ways through company because the AI is now bullish , we can easily gets jobs on abroad but in India is doubtable.

Engineering from private college land you no where

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum they will show you before admission is completely different what you will be getting. They will be covering things but not with a higher level. In a subject easy topics will be covered but when teacher find any topic difficult , it will not come in exam since everyone has to pass the exam. They can just follow the GATE exam curruculum and that would be enough for any students to outperform after engineering with real time lap teaching. There is semister exam only where you will have to give workshop and lab exam along with theory paper

Good placement and affordable

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 7th semester (4th Year). Companies like Amazon, Legato, TCS, Synopsis, etc. visit for on campus placements. We have a very good placement ratio and average package. For CSE, the average package was 13 LPA and 92% students were placed. While for ECE, the average package was 8 LPA and 66% students were placed. I'm planning on gaining work experience for 2 years after my B.Tech and then pursue MS Or M.Tech from abroad.

Remarks:

I choosed because my CEE marks which was 92 at that time was not enough to get admission in govt engineering colleges and the OBC cut off was 120+. So, in Whole northeast Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology is the no 1 and the oldest private engineering college and I decided to take admission there.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Distance is the only issue.

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.
