Placement is extraordinary with 12 lpa average for college and 25 lpa for cse alone
Hostel facility is very good with full wifi and lan connection
Faculty members are very good and very supportive seniors

Dislikes

Campus is not much up to mark but in making state
Open campus is a problem for this nit as due to this end time is low for girls
Weather is not so pleasant as there is too much hot.

I choose cse branch because the placement and curriculum is very much good in nit jsr. In cse branch there are 124 students from which 24 are girls and 100 are boys faculty is very good they are highly qualified and very supportive method of teaching is also good term exams are there in semester are mid sem and end sem cheating is strictly baned

Internship mania is start from second year to third year and several companies are approaching to college. If you have good skills then you got a good intership with ease you also can approach for off campus.

This college is known for its very extraordinary placement like the placement of metallurgy is 95% and average package of 14 lpa so from this you can guess what is for cse. Cse have 25 lpa average with 100 % placement

Fees structure is 62000 tution fees and 18000 mess fees and 25000 hostel fees. There are several scholarships in campus like all sholarships in nsp are valid in college like top class scholarship for sc and pwd students finalcial assistance is very much supportive in college

Campus Life

Campus life is not so much up to mark as campus is open and there is end time for girls and first year boys but appart of this all rest is good. There are several cultural clubs like fashion, music, dance and all other clubs there is lds called literally and debating society and also there is seperate fest of all branches

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is very much up to mark like you have one single room from 2nd yrs. Onwards with a full fledged almirah and a table and chair. There is lan connection in every room which is in working condition

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
