Remarks

You can get this college through JEE mains. Cut off for CSE general category was around 10k for boys and 15k for girls. Through reservation one can get the college at much lower ranks.one has to do offline reporting for the admission

Course Curriculum Overview

So I am currently pursuing computer science from NIT Jamshedpur. I took it because I had an interesting CSE and I was getting here only according to cut off. There are enough faculties for the students and the teaching method is also nice there are proper classes and labs. Exams happened every semester mid sem and end sem

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

Summer internships are available after 2nd year around 30- 40% students get internship. Students get ready for internships after 3rd year. Placements are ok ok in CSE the placement is around 10 to 12 L per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for any course here is around 2.5 lakhs per year. Hostel fees is 30000 per year and Mess fees is around 34000 per year.many Scholarship for girls students are available. Financial assistance is also available.

Campus Life

Campus life is nice but the campus is not so good from this events are happening pretty nice because of our nice president. Library is pretty good. Lots of book for every branches and for extra study also. The classroom are one of the best in all IIT and nits. Sports facilities are also there and there are a lot of clubs in which you can participate

Hostel Facilities

Hostel for 1st years are not that good. No wi-fi is there.. food is not that much good no taste. Registration process is pretty simple just be aware of some professors variety of food is available but taste is bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
