Remarks

If you want to pursue computer science engineering then this college is best for you and others please do not opt this college and do not become a fool after seeing the campus.

Entrance Preview

After 12 I took JEE exam and scored 40 marks .Well I was quite comfortable with physics that's why I opted for electrical engineering and trust me after visiting the college , it's surrounding caught me and made me opt for this particular college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

On the range of 0-5 I would like to give 3 point to the curriculum.Because of assignment tutorials quizzes and making practical files are worst thing and deviate an individual from his or her path to score a good G.P.A. Apart from that if you have a great idea in which you want to make project this college will not fund you.

Internships Opportunities

Yes,this college provide internship but there is no stipend.I don't know about the experience about the internships through college because I never gave my name for internship through college

Placement Experience

1.5

If you want to study computer science then this is the right college because the placement of this is for C.S students only. Approx 20-25 company visited this year for C.S students. But for branch like electrical engineering placements are worst 3 core company visited the campus and out of 120 electrical engineering students only 4 got placed and out of four only 2 joined the company. And this scenario is constant every year for the branches other than Computer science.

College Events

2

Technical fest, cultural fest and sports fest are the only events that occur in this college because they love to save money. And most important thing if you will take part in these events then you not get attendence and eventually you would definitely get debarred in the subjects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive and they don't deserve such a high amount because they are not giving proper facilities according to their fee structure. One can study in more prestigious and renowned college with the same fee structure.Their fee structure is like a kurkure which you buy at hill stations with 5-10 rupees more.So they are only charging extra for college which is just like a hill station.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, If you want to get 100% scholarship then you just have to score AIR 1 in JEE exams. Yeah, this college also provides you loans during admissions. Uttrakhand students can avail the 26% scholarship. And other than Uttarakhand students have to score AIR 1 for the scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Only campus life is good in this college, and that is also because of the surroundings. Extracurricular activities are their like coding competitions, debates, singing competitions etc. 33% are females and 67% are males. In Uttarakhand gender, race, caste, religion is zero so do not worry about this.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostels are good at this college but they are limited in number and if your G.P.A is low then you will be thrown out of this college. And hostel fee is also expensive approx one lakh a year. Food is good in the lunchtime and worst at night so most of the students here eat lunch outside.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni network is quite helpful, infact many alumni come and give speeches of their past work. Yes you can discuss how to make it through a semester .

Exam Structure

Now the exams structure is quite good you have to give one mid sem and one end sem along with practical examination. But don't trust the rules and protocols of this college. In my 4 year of college I have given 48 end sem exams all with different rules. Passing criteria changes every year in this college.

Admission

In month of june and july counselling is done.During my admission there were two separate dates for two counselling procedure one the basis of jee marks and another one is on the basis of 12 percentage.I took the 2nd counselling where and got my stream.I don't know there is still two counselling going on or not.

Faculty

4

On the scale of 0-5. 3 points are more than enough for the faculties. Some faculties don't have experience, though they have the proper knowledge they don't know how to teach. Here faculties just force us to get give marks so they teach in that way and eventually give you notes and then all you have to do is ratification.

Students become eligible for placements in the 7th sem. Recently, Visa visited our college but didn’t make any offers. The highest package in 2024 was 84 LPA, while the average is around 4 LPA. Nearly 80% of students get placed across different companies. After my degree, I plan to build strong tech skills and aim for a good software developer role.

Godrej, Infosys and likewise tech and non-technical companies which have decided to have some AI engineers in their ranks are coming to our college. Also since our college don't have such big strength like the private universities have and therefore placements final figures may be small but in all, our percentage of placements are better and higher than those of the private universities.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

Oracle, Microsoft, DeShaw and almost every company which needs IT services have looked upon GEU because we are trained that way. This is the reason our median has gone up and this year was a breakout year for placements for GEU as over 15-20 students were hired for packages of over 40 LPA.
