VIT; A worth it journey to your dreams.

I chose a Bachelor in Computer science as my major and E-commerce technology as my minor as I am pretty much interested in the world of e-commerce and business, the faculty-student ratio here at VIT is pretty good, there are 150 students in my branch, here at VIT Bhopal you are blessed with 100% doctoral faculty who are truly experts in their fields, exam are happening every month to keep us updated and make us more flexible and yes its tough to survive if you don't study.

Students are offered placements from the 3rd year itself in the 6th or 7th semester, companies like Microsoft, Zomato, Intel, PwC and much more visit to campus, there is a central Placement cell for all the campuses of VIT which provides correct guidance and opportunities for the students to pursue their dreams. Avg Package- 7-8L Highest Package - 59L Almost 80-90% students who opt for placements are placed.

The fee structure again depends on the rank you got at the entrance, A State topper can avail of the scholarship. There are no campus jobs available here at VIT. There are 5 fee categories, 1.98L in CAT 1, 3.08l in CAT 2, 4L in CAT 3, 4.5L in CAT 4 and 5L in CAT5, per Annum.

The campus life here at VIT is okayish, there are certain restrictions and rules that you have to follow but you can hangout with your friends and have a great time introspecting what you are as a person and can have plenty of time to put on your self-growth, the library is open till 7 in the evening you can read books or study there. There are so many sports clubs you can register and be a part of, for example, cricket club, basketball club, kabbadi and much more. The biggest cultural fest at VIT is conducted in Feb called as AdVITya. There are regional clubs if you want to join like, Marathi club, Gujrati Club, Telegu club, Tamil club and etc.

There are many options you can opt for according to your CGPA and attendance, multiple options are available, 2-bedded rooms, 3-bedded rooms, and 4-5-6-8-bedded rooms, the hostel is pretty much affordable in the range of 60k-120k per year depends on the type and room you chose wether it is Ac or Non-ac. Mess food is again the compromising factor for most people, mess food is like you will never get sick eating it, but there no taste at all, 2-3 times a week you get Non-veg or veg good food. Breakfast and evening snacks can make you live here at VIT. There are PGs outside the campus.

I prepared for VITEEE which is an entrance exam conducted by VIT for admission into several majors, after qualifying for VITEEE you can choose the required branch or major you want to opt in based on the availability through your rank in the entrance, and you can find the application form on its website and the application fees is around 1200/-.
