Likes

Canteen and good campus. Night stays during fest
Football event, tournaments and stuff being held around. Good last years
No pressure from staff side, chill god and department depends on how you be wid staff

Dislikes

The timing was very bad during first year
Staff teaching like school kids and treating us as kids
The attendance it was supposed to be at 85%

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen computer science course as it was much in trend. And I loved coding so. The student faculty ratio was 1:60 students. We had average staff, few were too good few not that good. Everyone has passed the aicte norms so they were qualified but they used to use school like methods

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement was good till covid post covid it's average. People can start attending drives from 3rd year itself. Highest package was of 40 lpa and average of 340000 goes on. 90% students get placed. After getting degree I wanna do masters

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees would increase 10% every year. Comparing to the other colleges this was too much. Plus the scholarship was given to OBC and other caste students. That also college used to cut Money from them citing fee reasons

Campus Life

Campus is pretty huge, riverside and has good clubs. There used to be lots of fest sinchana aerophilia and car show. They don't spend much on fests but it was okayish. Library was also quite big and huge. Amenities in classroom were good jus wanted more ventilation. Sports is also encouraged heavily but influence also works

Admission

I had to take COMEDK exam as I was from outside Karnataka, based on that admission process worked. Rankings based they'll decide the fees, also i had gotten in through management quota as I was bit late. So when you go through management quota they check your 12th percentage

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Placement Experience:

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year
