Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BA HPP (history, political science and public administration). We had an interesting and knowledgeable curriculum with all essential matters in every subject. The interaction between students and faculty is awesome and their support made all our success. Each of the faculty members had their PhD in their respective subjects. Every year we had 2 term-end exams and they were a bit hard to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides placements, and every semester, we have a discipline other than our core subjects I chose yoga, peace, and conflict management. In the last semester we have an option to take project for every subject.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study for the course I chose is 7800 per year, which is considerably low. The college provides scholarships only to 2 programs, i.e., MPC and BA HPP. We've campus placements but I didn't opt for it as I wanted to continue my studies. The scholarships can be availed only through DOST (a Telangana website).
Campus Life
Every year in the month of November we have a college fest named YUVAFLARE and we enjoy it like anything. We've cultural programs frequently and every single important day is celebrated. We'd a large and peaceful library where one can find monthly magazines, daily newspapers, journals and important historical works. We've nearly about 30 sports, both indoor and outdoor games. We have a club for every subject and other clubs for sports, discipline, cleanliness etc. Students also run an FAA(Francis Alumnae Association).
Admission
I passed out with 95% in my intermediate and I applied for admission to St.Francis College for Women, Begumpet, Hyderabad through DOST. The eligibility criteria are that you should pass your intermediate with a good percentage. In DOST, we had a choice to choose which college we wanted and the college chose you if you were with a good percentile. The admission process is convenient and I didn't avail any reservation benefits.
Other Applied Colleges
Indraprastha College for Women - [IP] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
The college is far away from my hometown and the situations didn't let me join the college.
