Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite good and updated as well. I chose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering. Cic provided me with this opportunity. Faculty to student ratio is pretty good 1:40 compared to other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified like our maths professors are from iits. Their way of teaching is awesome and easier to understand. The exams happen after 6 months and they are like easy to pass I would say. You can pass the exam if you study Diligently throughout the semesters.
Internships Opportunities
Cluster innovation center itself launched an internship program but you can also apply for internship in entities like drdo by learning skills required. We also get a chance to work on projects in our mathematical and other subjects by end semesters. Projects can covers any field like ai and ml, web development, app development, Android development etc. They help you to learn skills and team work if you are working with your group.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees which I pay us around 7000 per semester but what I got to know is that the fee is now around 4000 per year for the new batch of 2023. The students have the opportunity to get the scholarship by du. The army personnel wards can apply for pmss also. I think for B. Tech it is very affordable. Most of the b. Tech colleges charge much higher than this. You can also do freelancing if you want to pay your fees by learning new skills.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is more focused on studies after all it is about engineering but there are ba students also whom with do organize various events like quizzes, dances, events, etc. The tech fest which is I think the only tech fest of du us the convoke organised by b. Tech students of cic. It has various events like Hackathons, tech quizzes, treasure hunts, chess events, soduko, Rubik's cubes, and so on. For a library, we have our own library as well as access to the university's central science library. We also have a sports Complex and by paying around 250 monthly we can get access to basketball courts gym equipment etc. Cluster Innovation Center also has a robotics society with works properly and provides students with enormous possibilities. One drawback us that we have societies which are mostly around tech fields but recently some students have formed music and dance societies also.
Admission
The admission process was through cuet scores only. Scores calculated were of the marks obtained from either maths, general test and English Or maths computer science and English. The application can be filled out from csas portal of the University of Delhi. I got my admission through cw supernumerary quota which only can be availed by wards of serving army personnel or ex-servicemen. The cluster innovation center has 4 seats in this quota. My score was 500 out of 700. I think the admission process is simple and easier to understand. In fact, it is better than other technical colleges because here even a person who has a commerce background can get admission if he has maths in 12th. In general cut-off goes pretty high like 640 out of 700 obc - around 600 but I got admission at 500 such a low score because there was not much competition in CW at my time in fact I am the only guy in college who got admission through cw quota.
