Remarks

All the good and bad was mentioned on the above questions in specific and that would be considered as the summary .

Entrance Preview

GAT GITAM ADMISSION TEST for the entrance exam and i scored 70% in that. The interview process was quiet simple and course selection was competitive

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was focused on research as well captivate which made pretty good in the industry and further study which i am pursuing now in Canada. Selective courses method is the best which this university provides and other universites won’t in south India. My Elective was in VLSI with verilog , advanced micro systems and advance micro controllers as major electives

Internships Opportunities

Yes, we have intern in between the course in summer in the final year which is an audit based course and no paid. I have done my internship in Nuclear fuel complex, hyderabad as a technical assistant in Nuclear plant in PLC

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement oppurtunities are very good with decent companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra , wipro, CGI , NTT data as major recruiters. We also had AMAZON, LiquidHub, GOOGLE , Accenture and many other companies which hired few in number but with a very good competitive salary in the market .

College Events

4

There where a lot of technical , co- Curricular activities performed round the clock in the year, we had tech cum cultural fest in the month February every year for 3-4 days and inter Departmental activities every term either in oct for fall term and march for winter term

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was the expensive and only drawback but worth the facilities. We paid 1.7lakh every year at the start of the fall term at once. It was very expensive on the scale and my dad had to take a personal loan since they had to pay the total amount at once in June and apart from the that the transport fee was also on a higher scale with 50000 for 110 km journey to and fro

Fees and Financial Aid

No, as per knowledge the fee is free only for top 50 students who scored In GAT and Department toppers would get 100% fee waiver and few other departmental scholarships where allocated once a while

Campus Life

5

There was zero tolerance on ragging and other issues. Students were very apt on that and we never faced any trouble with the religion, region, sex, political or Economic status. The quality of standards are pretty high, I would rate 10/10 in this case

Hostel Facilities

4

I was a day scholar but had a lot of friends in Hostel. The comments from them were very good and the rentals were reasonable too. They used to pay like 4000-5000 every month which included breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in the evening. They didn’t have a lot of options to eat . Also there were a cricket, football, and badminton lawn facilities to them which as very good

Alumni/Alumna

They were few get to gethers and we are given a life term valid alumni card which allows us to enter the campus when ever we wish too and also it gives access to transport in the city

Exam Structure

We had exams in every term with 3 Mid- Terms and best of 2 are considered. We had 3 lab courses every term and they were a quiz on every lab session and Midterm lab which is considered as Internal and Final exam as External where we need to perform the given experiment and followed by a viva session.

Admission

I was selected through the admission test and was notified by a mail as well a courier document sent and was informed to come on a particular day according to the rankings and choose to select the course. It was one day long process and took quite a well for me choose the course and pay the fee

Faculty

5

The teaching and faculty is upto the mark with best infrastructure provided to everyone. Also most of them where PHD or Gradute from a reputed institution in India/Abroad. They are assigned with specific tasks and courses which they are apt and showed a lot of interest .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
