Remarks

Admission is through the VIT entrance exam which is VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering entrance exam). You have to fill out the form and take the exam on the desired dates and timeline. You will be provided with a rank after the results. Admission will be given based on your ranks in all four campuses of VIT through choice filling procedure done by the VIT institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. I chose computer science because of its good demand in the IT field. Faculty to student ratio is also good. All the faculties are doctorate faculties that have done Ph.D. in their respective fields. Exams are always taken on time, paper and marks are also shown on time.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies come for internships at the campus and roles such as data analysts, software developers, consultants, etc. are offered. In order to get the internship, you must have good knowledge of the web development part and should have decent knowledge of DSA and you must have worked on some good projects. This just boosts your chances of getting shortlisted and grabbing the internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester mostly. A lot of dream and super dream companies come for placements and the placement record is over 90% from the past few years. The average package offered this year was 59 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The academic fee is 2 lacs rupees if you get admission in the first category but increases according to your category which can go from 2 lac to 3, 4, and even 5 lacs per year. The fee hike is minimal in comparison to yearly fees. The scholarship is based on VITEEE Score.

Campus Life

There are a lot of fests competitions and functions on campus. The library also has a good amount of books and journals. Sports activities are common on the campus. And there are several clubs technical and non-technical on campus.

After 6th semester you will Elligble for in campus placement and their are many internship and placement providing apps which are connected with our college like Internshala and our college also has own incubation center where students can brings their startup ideas and if they like your startup they will invest on it and student also got chance to get internship on that and got certificate and highest package is of 1.2 cr off campus and Average pacakge is of 5 to 6 lpa and their is basically 85 to 90% placement rate and my plan is to become ai ml engeener and grow in AI area

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
