What Students Say
Likes
- The extra curricular opportunity for everyone to showcase what they are good at,coding culture of the college, the faculty and the hostel facilty. I also like some special things that our college does like hall day and same hostel in time for all
- There is equality in every rule implemented without any gender discrimination.
- The faculty is helpful and interacts with the students. Also the seniors are really helpful.
Dislikes
- The high fees is one of the cons of the college
- The location of the college is very remote, although there is bus connectivity every 2 hours given from the college
- The highly strict academic criterion such as 75% attendance
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ECE as my branch because I think it opens flexibility in choosing a career path, given the coding culture of the college. I can get exposed to all kinda of tech industry-related fields from core electronics to tech development. The faculty of the college is highly qualified. Most of the professors are from renowned institutes and very knowledgeable in their respective fields. The faculty-to-student ratio is very good because the batch size is decent.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internships offered starting from the 3rd semester. GCOS is one of the highly active things most students participate in. The stipend usually depends upon the role offered but a handy 3-4 lakh is achievable in 3-4 months of internship.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are decent, and the college provides an opportunity for everyone to present a chance for themselves in front of big companies. The students become eligible for placements in the 7th semester. Big tech companies like Microsoft, amazon, google, and also core companies for various departments. The highest on-campus placement was around 55 lakhs this year and off-campus it was even more. Percentage of students placement is around 95%. I plan to go into a core electronic job after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a 10% fee increase policy of the institution every year. This is one of the cons of the college. Because of is a private institution, it demands high fees from the students to maintain itself, which in turn affects the students. The cost of doing a Btech degree from here currently will cost you around 24 lakhs. There are several scholarships offered along with assistant jobs in respective departments. But that still doesn't add up to the amount the college demands from the common man's pocket. But a lot of banks have offers of education loans with the college so that becomes helpful.
Campus Life
The annual fest of the college is called Vivacity. It is one of the biggest fests in Rajasthan conducted in January. The tech fest is called Plinth which is conducted in February. The campus has an efficient library with tons of options varying from academic books to literature and technology. The classrooms are efficient with ACs installed and ducts for air circulation. The campus offers a variety of curricular activities with clubs for dance, drama, music, robotics, coding, art and literature, public speaking, etc.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are double-sharing for the first 3 years, but they are large and spacious. There are individual cupboards and study tables along with LAN ports and clean bathrooms. There are various wings on each floor in hostels. There is one girls hostel and 4 boys hostel. The mess food is hygienic and changes frequently to not get monotonous. There is also an option for Jain food every day. Besides, there is a variety of options available in the canteen. The hostels are compulsory for everyone.
Admission
The admission was based on the jee main percentile of students. There was no reservation for any caste or gender in the admission process. I think this is the fairest form of admissions because it judges the actual caliber of the candidate without giving any benefits for a certain caste or gender.
