Since this is not a Deemed University the Syllabus is made by the University so we use that Syllabus. Every five to six years the university update the Syllabus. The Syllabus is good and will create much more ability for the students to learn their own respective subjects for higher studies

For Traditional courses like BA and BSc there are no Internships . But for courses like BSc Sports and Leisure , BSc Sustainable Agriculture and BCA have Internships and will get stipends

There is an annual placement drive or you avan call the summer placements for all students commonly The famous company taking the students are South Indian Bank , ICICi Bank,HDFC Bank , Malayala Manorama The packages will be low but for Banking jobs the packages will be up to the Industry standards

There is a lot of events in the college . Every year each Department has to conduct an intercollegiate program for atleast one or two days . Which helps the students to expand their networks The other events are College Days Arts week Sports week Union election

Fee structure for BSc programs is about two thousand two hundered rupees per year. and for BA program it is one thousand eight hundred rupees per year . And examinations fees has to be payed each semester and which is about 600 rupees For PG courses The Fees will be around three thousand rupees There are fees concession for SCST ,OBC,OEC students

There are lot of scholarships provided by the college itself to its students who have a good grade in the exams loan facility is also available and the college will help to do it

St Thomas College Palai is a vibrant campus and a lot of political debates and socio economic debates takes place There are clubs like English Club, Debate Club,Anti Narcotic Club, Readers Club,Quizers Club etc there are also NCC Navy and army wings in the college along with NSS

The hostel is normally used by the students coming from distant places. My house is near the college so I didn't have to take the college hostel. But my friends are hostelers . in the 1st two years, No people from the same class is allowed to share the room. Every room is used by two people only Last year classmates to share the room is allowed Hostel fees us around 4500-5000 per month and it can change according to the days you stayed Food is good

Alumini Association of St Thomas College Palai is giving and sponsoring a lot of Scholarships to the students that perform well and as well as the poor Students

The students have to attend six-semester exams to pass the course. Every year there are two-semester exams. And Before each semester exams, there will be at least three exams that will make the students prepared themselves The marks of the model.exams are taken for counting the internal marks The lab's examinations are in the office semester There is a project viva in the last semester

All the faculty of our St. Thomas College Palai are well qualified and well educated from Different universities around the world . And so they have great knowledge in their own subjects. Most of the Lecturers have a doctoral degree and other are qualified as per the UGC norms
