The honest review of VIT bhopal from a first year student

This course has high opportunities in the coming future since the technological field has a great impact from Artificial intelligence and machine learning. The average placement at this college is decent and will get better with time. All the faculties are doctorate i.e. Ph.D. holders Exams are held twice in every semester. One is mid-semester and the other is endsem. It's a good level

Many companies offered internships like Microsoft, Accenture, etc. Haven't seen any internship closely so I don't know much about the outcomes and projects. One senior girl got nearly 1 lakh per month internship in Microsoft for 6 months

After 6th semester students become eligible for placements More than 150 companies visited this year and 2700+ offers were made. The highest package stood at 59lacs/annum and the average package is somewhere between 8&9 lacs per annum but placements are going on so exact data is not available More than 90% of students are getting placed. I'll sit for on-campus placements because it gives a nice exposure

The cost to study varies from 7,92,000 to 19,92,000 depending on the fee category you get There is a sports quota through which you can get free admission to this college and that includes free hostel fees also

There is a 2 floored library in the academic building. Good for self-study, network hindrance is seen often in the library. Most academic books and many journals(updated weekly/monthly) are available in the library Classrooms are unique since they're based on CALTech method which includes round type of tables and chairs in an abrupt manner which excludes the concept of backbenchers. Sports facilities are decent. It has a multi-purpose hall with few sports amenities and 2 basketball courts in the boys' hostel. and 2 badminton courts also. Too many clubs. You name it we have it

Rooms have option starting from 2 bedded to 8 bedded. Bunker bed and flat bed options are available. Mess quality is decent enough and they change the menu every month. Hostel registration is done through a portal provided by college itself after fee submission

Admission was done based on the VIT engineering entrance exam i.e. VITEEE. It has a fee category depending on the rank. I got admission in category 1 and the fee is 1 lakh 98 thousand per year. It has no reservations. It has a sports quota though. The application form is available on vit.ac.in and is available from December to early April. Exams take place in early April in slots
