Course Curriculum Overview

My course is cse btech core In our first semester, we have to complete 18 credits and while 4 semesters we have to complete 160 credits My passion is for computer science so I have chosen that option. The faculty is comparatively less than the students. There are a large number of freshers intake this year. Mostly all facilities have done PHD Each semester is around 4 months so we get around one month for term end after completing midterms. The paper on engineering is a little tough

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 198000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In starting they take refundable caution money of 3000 The fee structure is a little complex. There are a total of 5 categories to take admission according to your Viteee rank. The fees of Category 1 is less than 2 lakh Category 2 is around 2.5 lakh. There is NO scholarship that the college provides. Placement rates are also a little lower

Campus Life

The campus life is challenging. The infrastructure is not fully constructed and another hostel which they are conducting online classes form hostel. But the classrooms are good having projectors and a whiteboard. There is a network issue on the campus as well as in the hostel. It has 2 libraries containing studying books. No such sports are happening as they do not have enough infrastructure at present.

Admission

I have taken the entrance exam of vit named VITEEE 2023 Its course has maths, physics, chemistry, English and aptitude The application form is present on the Vit portal. The admission process was online and fee submission was also online

so in our college 1st year we have 2 semesters and n 2nd year we have 3 semesters and in 3rd year we have 3 semesters so 8 semesters already get completed and students are eligible to sit in placement from 3rd year . You can get internships in 3rd year as well if you have good grades and you are ready to grind . Talking about companies that visit for placements are Delloite , JP morgan Palo alto, De shaw and Co. My plan is to just have good gpa and get job asap

Placement Experience:

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.

Life at MITS , Gwalior

Placement Experience:

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. other college i applied were vssut , jaypee noida , cutr, silicon but i choose vit bhopal because i wanted to study outside my state and bhopal was closer . So admission process is you have to give an exam called vitee and to get in to vit bhopal in category you gotta have rank under 45K to study in cse core branch and for AIML branch you need rank under 55K and for studying in Cyber security and cloud computing it should be under 70K . if you get anything above 70k its hard to land in a good cse branch under category 1 fees....Read More
