Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose to do B.com with ACCA because I want to join the finance world and so ISME felt like a great choice as it is a business college with faculty with great experience from this field. The faulty student ratio is 1:12. All the faculty are extremely qualified and experienced in both teaching and corporate world. The exams were extremely challenging ina good way. A standardized paper was set.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Their is a sepcific placement cell for placement that provides students with internships and helps them explore their career opportunities and options. Undergraduates are not provided with stipend but only with experience and certifications

Placement Experience

5

The International School of management excellence provides placements for students who opt/choose to have it. Companies like wipro tvs and many multi nationals companies (mnc) come to isme for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college has a very moderate fee structure compared to many other colleges. They provide merit, need, SC-ST, defence, sibling scholarships for all students in particular categories. Need based scholarships help students who need financial assistance. For undergraduates internships are provided but no stipends.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest for undergraduates was ignito buzz which happens in July. All kinds of books and journals are available in the library. Classss are equipted with snart boards and projectors. A entire sports arena is available for the students. Their are four clubs run by students 1.Cultural club 2.Entrepreneurship cell 3.CSR 4. Literature and communication

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel have 2-3 sharings for both girls and boys. Everyone is provided with a single bed, a cupboard and a study table with drawers. The food is average and alittle bland overall needs improvement .

Admission

The admission process started with us applying online and filling up the application form which had verious questions that needed to be answered. Next we were called up for an interview which I had taken online. They enquired about our course knowledge and basic general knowledge questions. Once you clear the interview you are asked to write a written test with GK and mental questions. Overall the process was very smooth every detail about the course and the college was available on the website making it easy for us to take decisions.

Interview Experience

4

The interview started with our introduction and questions about our course and basic subject knowledge were asked. The process was smooth as they communicate all the information and results through mail and always are open to taking calls if required. I prepared for these rounds by just going through baisc concepts of each subject and revising my general knowledge

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
