Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this because it is an overall good college for those who want to be a chemical engineer. The faculties are good most of the professors have PhD degrees. And the behavior of the faculties is good. During examination question is hard and the guard is also hard. You need to hard work to pass the examination.

Internships Opportunities

In our department, many internship opportunities are available in the college, and this subject is also included in the semester curriculum. Schecon and many other companies offer the internship. And give the stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure is 444000 in chemical engineering in 2022. This college is under the makaut University. So it is accepted for the SVMCM scholarship. Many core and non-core companies come for the jobs.

Campus Life

The name of the college fest is 'Riviera'. One of the best college festivals in West Bengal besides IIT Kharagpur. Many clubs are positive on campus like social clubs samarpan, needs, Max Club Tech Club. And the campus is big and clean. In the library, anyone can find a journal and various kinds of books. In the semester extracurricular activities are included.

Hostel Facilities

For the first year, there are two boys hostels available named 'Balaji' and 'Ranichak boys hotel. Ranichak hostel is comparatively far away from the college in this hostel the faculties are also stayed. And the Balaji hostel is nearer the college and big. The hostel meal is also good. And the faculties of the hostels are also good. Registration processing of the hostels are very easy step. And you can find many rooms in the locality.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Admission is very good, I was admitted to this college through the wbjee. But the college accepted both wbjee and Jee's main results. The application form is found on the college website. I am a chemical engineering student the fee is 444000.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.

Okay college and decent placement

I choose this college due to affordable fees and the hostel facility near. But I think my desicion was wrong as it is not good engineering college as compared to the other colleges from noida ,ghaziabad and rest cities of India .This is because of followiong parameters that are good in those colleges.1.NO Regular cultural and technical fest. 2.Not any extra co cirricular activities such as dandiya, festive special programs and the main freshers part. 3. There is no farewell given to final year students by the college. 4. No convacation held. 3. No hightech infrastructure and AC classrooms.
