- Short Holidays, basically there is no Summer vacation and to be honest there is high temperature during summer.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we all know there is a demand for data scientists in every company that's why I chose it. I got a CSE(Data Science) in this college. There are around 500+ faculty members present in this college, if we talk about the class strength there are 60 students in each class and 2 mentors for each class. There will be a special mentoring class for each class for the student's query. The ratio of the faculty and students is 1:20, the faculties of the college are well qualified and very kind with the least degree of PhD in various domains. The timing of classes is from 9:40 am to 5:10 pm and there is a lunch time between the classes and Lab. There is a class test every 40 days, a total of 3 class tests there, and after that The Final Semester exam. Class tests will be very helpful for everyone to perform well in semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
If you are eligible you will get an internship from college after 4th semester. If you think that can I get an internship in 2nd year you can say yes but you have to get permission from your faculty members. If you want to know more details about this topic you have to talk with your seniors.
Placement Experience
After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Wipro, pwc, Accenture, and so on visited this college. Here is the highest package of 46lpa and the average package is 5.5lpa. The average Percentage of students getting placement is around 87%. My plan is to get a job after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
First of all you to have pay 5000 rupees for the seat allotment, after that you will go for admission. There is an admission fees that varies every year. The cost of study and the other fee structure you can get from the official website of the college will be very helpful. You can get the scholarship if you are from WB or other states.
Campus Life
There is a big Fest in this college with the name of Prayukti and Riviera. One is Cultural related and another is for Tech related. There is a lot of fun like Robo war, Coding contests, dancing singing, and many more. This fest will be in the month of April-May. There is a big Library on our campus named Aryabhatta Library which is full of books and many study materials. More than 6 sports competitions are present and every single has another level of craze. Like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, TT, Badminton and so on. There is more than 10 clubs in this college many of them are Technical clubs, Social Club, Media Club, Singing club, dance club, and so on. I am in a Technical club, IEEE.
Admission
I am from Dhanbad(Jharkhand), I got a good rank in WBJEE and then went for online counseling, in the mop-up round I got the CSE(Data Science) branch in Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia. If you want to be admitted in this College make sure that you have an intermediate degree in Science (PCM/PCMB) and then you have a merit rank card of WBJEE or JEE. Both can give you a seat, and both have individual counseling, first WBJEE counseling will appear and after that, JEE counseling will appear. There are 3 rounds of counseling in this. 1st round, in this round you will get a branch in any college according to your preference in the choice filling of counseling after that you have to go to that college for seat booking or seat Upgradation. If you like your branch and college then you can fix it there and you have to come with your documents and the admission fees, in that case, you should have all the documents.
