Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Electrical is one of the top courses with wide opportunities throughout. NITW has one of the finest faculties for this course. Each section will be provided with a mentor. The minimum qualification of faculty members are PhD in their respective course of teaching. Most of the faculty are qualified from prestigious institutes like IITs, NITS, BITS, etc. The method of teaching will be practical and comfortable for the student to absorb. A term might be for a period of 4 months and requires lots of skills, patience, and a grip on the subject. A true aspirant can clear the term easily.

Multiple companies will be visiting the campus to take interviews of the students among which most of them are paid internships. The highest stipend as per my knowledge is 2 lakhs, most of the students will also get a pre-placement offer based on their performance an an interns.

By the beginning of the first semester of the fourth year, students are eligible to be at the campus interviews, companies like Microsoft, Infosys, IBM, Flipkart, Amazon, and many will be visiting the campus. Many fests like spring spree, Technozion, youth fest, and many cultural fests will be held in the college. We have one the finest libraries in our country with over 1 Lakh books, it also have many journals and publications of research scholars. The maintenance of the classrooms is at the best and also has a facility for smart classes. We have a robotics club, finwiz class, NSS/NCC club, EA-HAM club, painting, photography, and many more clubs and associations for every individual branch which are all maintained and run by the students in collaboration with some faculties.

There are multiple hostels available on the campus 1K, 1.8K, etc., and the rooms are well maintained by the workers they are cleaned every single day. Any issue regarding the hostel will be considered soon and set properly at the earliest. There will be three institute food courts for the students with the best quality food, a little adjustment has to be made by the student regarding taste else everything is at its finest, in addition to institute food courts food Street is also available for the students within the campus with legible prices. If the student has opted for the hostel it will be allocated to the students by the hostel faculty during the time of admission.

Admission

The admissions for NITS will be processed through the JOSAA portal. The candidate has to qualify for the jee mains entrance examination for admission, a percentile of about 95 will secure a seat in the top most NITS. JEE mains can be applied through the JEE mains portal provided by NTA, application fees will cost around 800 -1000 depending on the category the candidate belongs to. The whole B.Tech program will be free, but the candidate has to pay a bear hostel fee if he/she belongs to sc/st, PWD category, and general/OBC with income less than 1 lakh per annum. Other Applied Colleges

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - [JNTUH] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I found the opportunities in all aspects are far better in NIT warangal and also has good placement opportunities than JNTUH

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
