Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because there are so many opportunities in this field which will help me to grow faster. faculties are too young they don't have much experience although some of them have good teaching skills. student ratio of 3 girls per 32 boys. faculties have degrees of PhD,mtech,BTech bsc..for 1st year our semester was 3 months so we faced our mid sems just after 1.5 months..it was not that tough to pass them.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements.. companies like Amazon, Mercedes, and Infosys have visited. this year due to the recession fewer companies visited the campus.6 students were placed in Amazon..highest package is 46 lpa and the average package is 12 lpa. in 2022. 100 Percent placement was there. now the placement is ongoing. I plan to go for an IT job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is too high as per the quality of education and infrastructure. I didn't get any scholarship as I am a general-category student. I haven't got any job till now..some of my friends got scholarships through Nis.

Campus Life

We just have a Cultural fest that is iiit habba and it is conducted in September. generally, we don't have much expectations from this fest. there are very less books available in the Library as I said the infrastructure and all other things are not according to the fees we have paid..in the classrooms benches we don't have charging ports...even we don't have ACs in class rooms after paying such a high fee. there are some sports events like intra iiit and inter-year matches. but we don't have a well-established sports infrastructure that's why the quality of events is not that good. there are some clubs like gdsc, blocsoc, velocity,return0 and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Four beded rooms are provided and 4 almirahs are provided and two fans are there..no cooler or ac's..meal quality and menu both are ok ok not that much good.. registration process is same means through jossa..hostel facility is not that according to the amount we pay

Hostel Fee: INR 96000 per year

Admission

The entrance exam is jee mains and cut off was approximately 96 percentile to be eligible for the course one must be 12th passed. I got into this college through jossa counselling. you can find the application form and all other things on the jossa website. one improvement I want to see is to get choice filling after each round.

Academic Curriculum- they constantly upgrade the subjects which needs to be taught
Labs - very well equipped labs for all branches.
You can choose to drop a lab and do it in winter break or summer break

Dislikes

very less holidays only 3rd saturday is holiday and they dont give holidays for jayantis and all
Auto drivers near the college. this is pure daylight robbery

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

Likes

Faculties are highly experienced and ready to help all the time
Good infrastructure with well equipped labs, library, sports
Adds extra curricular activities like teaching AI and other trending topics in college

Dislikes

Washrooms need to be clean and good to use especially for girls hygiene it has to be good
Hostel food is not that great and needs improvement in the quality of food
Thought schedule everyday hard to cope up with everything

Good the teachers find the best ways to make the subject interesting and teach us in the most interesting way they will help the weak students to feel the subject as a cake walk and help all the students out in the same way

Infrastructure is well established and good
Security for Students is very high and no ragging

Lack of events and only the educational events
Only one playground for cricket and also remaining
security are very rude but some are bit friendly

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

Good Learning

Likes

Faculties are really well experienced by character all the faculties are humble and polite.
The college has good Infrastructure and the campus is surrounded with Trees it is very peaceful campus.
Placement support are really good with lab facilities where skill rack, NPTEL, Infosys springboard, MongoDB, IBM platform is provided for level up our skills.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are fairly good and students become eligible for campus placements from the final year, usually from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the campus every year and offewre opportunuties in different roles such as software developer,analyst, technical support, and other entry-level positions.

Campus Life and Social Interaction : Vibrant campus Life : The campus offer a dynamic environment with multiple student clubs , technicals societies , cultural fests ,and sports events students engaage in regular extracurricular activities.
Faculty Experience and Mentorship : Experienced faculty : The faculty at SVIT is often described as appreciable , knowledge, and supportive . professors are well - versed in there respective fields ,and many have industrial experience .
Placement support : Strong placement record: SVIT hasa good placement record ,with many students securing in top - tier companies like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, Infosys,. The college guidence through placement offers traning .

Dislikes

Collaborative Environment : Group project and assignment is core elements of curriculum with many course designed to involve group work and collaborative projects.
Cultural Activities : Are not celebrated more in semister
Collaborative learning : Communication barrier in larger teams especially working with different backgrounds or academic disciplines.

Placement Experience:

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . Average package: The average salary package offered is ar8 4- 5 lakhs per annum. The placement rates at SVIT is consistently high . On average , around 80-85% of eligible students get placed in good companies.

Less fees but wonderful knowledgeful experience

Particular teaching subject wise was not so clear.
Placement training courses coding wise was not that good.
Water facility sometimes was not good but it was ok nothing to dislike

Placement Experience:

1. From 7th semester onwards placement activities start. But from 1st semester itself they start training. 2. Windcare, Rinexx, Wipro, Infosys, A1 fence, Microdegree, Intellipath and so on. 3. Intellipath offers 10 lakh per annum and so on. 4. 85 percent students where getting placed. 5. To start my own venture.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

A Student's Perspective

for the eligibiity of the course in iiit we need to get a good rank in jee advanced to get a seat in this college, no other type of admission are accepted in our college. application form will be provided in the josaa councelling as it will be provided once u get a good rank in jee and get a chance to get admission in the iiit and nit. reservation benefits are given for those who have a category such as sc st and ews obc etc. the frequency of the exams is balanced for the whole sem. and difficulty is moderate. as of now their is no improvement suggested in admission process as everything is online...Read More
