Remarks

Once you are in. You will hate it and would try to get out of it but later college will grow on you and once you graduate, you will miss it for sure.

Entrance Preview

I got a call from the college based on my CAT ranking. I gave the interview and got selected. I liked the college as it was in proximity with capital of the country. Hence chances of exposure were better.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Overall the syllabus is out dated but it is not the fault of college but University. The stress on completion of syllabus is way too much but is also necessary for exams.otherwise their won't be time for clearing doubts and necessary preparation for exams. Hence syllabus pressure may be justified.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides both option l. Student can choose to opt college offered internship or can go do internship in their own. They provided assistance in both the cases. But if you choose former. The college provides you a company as per your desire or closer or relatable field if not the desired one.

Placement Experience

4

The 100% placement is a myth. To be honest, placement depends on the students themselves alone. I got a better package when I scout for job on my own. The college regularly arranged placement campaigns. Some found desired jobs and some won't. Sometimes payscale or location don't suite the candidates hence placement is totally dependable.

College Events

3.5

This is one sector college needs to work on. There are many events but not plenty or educative enough. There are many music shows with famous singer. Also there are many other shows or programs with entertaintment values held in college. Apart from this there is a formal fest every year called tech zest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends on course to courses but on average ranges between 30000 to 50000 per semester. The fee structure is one of the most economical ones in the market which is a plus point but there are several hidden costs included that is not mentioned in the fees. Hostel fees ranges as below- For tripple sharing without attached bathroom us 60000 Twin sharing is 65000 without bathroom Twin with attached bathroom is 80000 Only 80000 room has access and wifi is useless. All the hostel rates are on yearly basis and non refundable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Varous programs for kashmiri students have been organized by University is followed here. Also discounts are offered to students from Nepal and other rural areas.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good not great but not bad. There are finite labs and other facilities for students in engineering depatments. There are 2 well equipped cafes with reasonable price. The quality varies though. Varous competitions are organized by each department on regular basis.

Hostel Facilities

3

Mess food is average. Hostel mostly had full electricity and back up. Few skirmishes among students are usual in any hostel. Warden and hostel staff is available and in support all the time. There is one faculty member named Neeraj Bawa who is good and has blind followers and Warden and other have kept a blind eye over him.

Alumni/Alumna

This is the one minus point that bothers me a lot. There is no alumni network or reunions or any such thing but then we all are so busy in our own jobs and work. Scheduling of such things is very difficult.

Exam Structure

The college follows the same exam structure instructed by University standards. There are two internals of 80 marks each subject and one final exam in each semester. The marks of internals along with the attendence one pro rata basis are added to final exams. The final exam and the internals as well as your in class behaviour is all on which your marks depends.

Admission

The admission process is plain and simple. One has to fill up all the necessary documents, post which someone from college authority will take an interview and written exam. Post that the dean of college took an interview and briefed me up about college curriculum.

Faculty

4.5

To be honest I used to have arguments and spats with them on regular basis. But later I realized the strictness and additional pressure was what groomed into the person I am today. No doubt sometimes faculty did mistakes but they too are human. The punishment and fines sometimes seemed to be too harsh but later in lifer realized were there to keep us in check and in line.

Remarks:

The college is excellent. The college is only 11 year old. According to me it will take more time to enter elite college list. IIM Rohtak has NIRF ranking of 23, which is far better than older established colleges. This is a positive sign and I am sure college will grow in leaps and bounds in coming years.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
