Remarks

Our college management was good but they are trying to implement new rules and that causes the college life seems to be like school life in my opinion, their main fault is on the selection of faculties they only look their degree (academic knowledge) and

Entrance Preview

Kerala entrance examination my score was 196 out 960 and rank was 8637 i opt this college because M.E.S was the nearest engineering college to my home i chose Electronics & Communication Engineering over other courses since I studied electronics in both high school (technical school) and higher secondary and I was very interested in electronics. Our admission process was fully on-line.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

In my opinion the course structure was not so good it mainly focus on theoretical knowledge still we had 2 labs for all semesters we get only basic idea of all subjects and practical knowledge was poor also the elective papers are from different domain and I think that was a bad selection.

Internships Opportunities

In our time there was no internship provided by the college but we can search and find companies for internship ourself due to this most of the students have no industrial experience knowledge when completing the course.

Placement Experience

2.5

From my class 23 students were placed in TCS that was the first placement from my batch and after that Infosys came and selected only 4 students besides this some of the students attended interviews conducted in other colleges and got placed around 45 out of 63 students from my class placed in different companies at the time of pass out TCS offered 3.2 lakhs/annum as starting and Infosys offered 3.0 lakhs/annum.

College Events

3

In my 4 years of college life, 2 all india technical fest were conducted and those were really awesome there were lot of technical events and we were very bust at that time. Students from other colleges participate the events and that was really big programs in every year, there should be at least one cultural fest and those are not very big programs like technical fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was in three categories one for merit students (those were selected by entrance examination) second one for management students and the last one for NRI students i was merit student and fee was feasible merit fees - 38700 year management fees - 75000 year NRI fees - 125000 year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college offered scholarship for backward students (SC/ST) but I dont know the amount also they offerd poor students scholarship for students whose family have annual income less than 2.5 lakh and scholarship amount was 5000 per year.

Campus Life

4

Gender differs from branch to branch. In our electronics 2/3 were boys but in the case of Computer science, just the opposite mechanical was full of boys there were students from all over the state extracurricular activities are conducted by each department and they conducted technical workshop, seminars etc and those were good sports events didnt get enough focus in our college and that was just for a name in our college, politics was strictly banned inside the campus but still students involved in such activities outside the campus and most of the times it leads to quarrel between students there were both poor and extremely rich students but there was no discrimination on the basis of money/religion or gender i really appreciate that culture.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was day scholar student for my first 2 years then I moved to hostel on 3rd year because I don't want to spoil my college life hostel life is really an another experience can never forget each room shared by 3 and everyone had coat, table and shelf hoste

Alumni/Alumna

At the time admission i was really afraid of seniors since our college was famous in ragging at that time but things were okay and college puts strict rules against ragging but I think there should be ragging with in limits because it helps us to be friend with seniors easily my seniors were really helpful for us in many of the situations.

Exam Structure

Its better not explain the exam structure of our university that was fully disorder at my time but it is okay now exam of one semester will take place after 2 or 3 months of that semester and in the middle of next semester that was really hectic for us th

Faculty

1.5

Only few of the faculties have well knowledge about their subjects remaining was waste of time at least they should have the knowledge of our level but I am not blaming everyone i still remember some teachers, who helped us a lot most of the faculties wer

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
