Campus is good and the labs are provided with good system

Very less events took place in our college
No transportation facilities are provided.
College canteen is not so good and is very small.

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science and Engineering has the best faculty for teaching as well as for guidance for your future career. The faculties are well knowledged and helpful. Exams at regular intervals take place and end sem at the end of the year or start of the new year.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are available in our college from the 3rd year itself. Many internship opportunities are provided to students with good knowledge and start-up events also take place for students to come up with their ideas.

Placement Experience

Placements are available for all the branches in our college, especially for computer science and engineering. And mechanical branch. 125 students out of 180 were placed with good packages from our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the OBC students the fee is 620000, for SC/ST students there is a minimal fee of 14000, and for open category students 1.2 lakh approx. fees are required. Scholarships are provided and all categories can be availed.

Campus Life

The campus is huge and peaceful, Atharva, freshers, and eco morya are some of the events that take place in our college. Classrooms are big and with enough space for students' comfort. Clubs are present in our college but not so many.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good, the new hostels are under-construction, and the old hostels are being renovated. The hostel campus is also big and a mess is provided inside the hostel, rooms are available with 2 seaters and 4-seaters.

Hostel Fee: INR 28000 per year

Admission

For admission purposes, you need to clear MHT-CET with at least 90-95 %ile or should have more than 60%ile in mains. A special Jain quota is available for Jain caste students. You'll need a caste certificate, validity, and other documents for admission through the minority quota.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
