Likes

College location is very good, it's located in hill.
Teaching faculty and class room are very beautiful.
Placement is excellent in SIT mangalore. All can get placement.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good.. We have stayed out.
College canteen is very bad.. Only local food they prepared.
College is located in out of the city centre.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is inter-discipline, we can study the mixing subjects like electronics, computers, and automation. All faculty members are well experienced. And all are Ph.D. holders. All examinations are good. Only one subject is very difficult to micro-control.

Class Size: 8Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements for each and every different company are coming and conducted exams and selected for different positions. Within the college itself. We got placement in 2nd year itself. The placement officer is a good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is fixed by Karnataka Government, 60000 and college fees are 20000 and the application form is extra paid. We can apply for a scholarship every year. We provide guidance inside the college campus.

Campus Life

All levels of college festivals are in our college. All students can participate in different programs like dance, and sports. The college grounds are very beautiful. Each and every department is well designed.

Admission

Admission is based on the KCET Karnataka Common Entrance Test. Based on the ranking you will get selected seats. Applications are available on the online college website or we can get them in the college office.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

Placement Experience:

After joining the course with 3 months of starting of the course the placements will be startedforthe students to apply for the placements. Tier-1MNCs companies are visiting for the college which are proving high package . The highest package got is 94LPA and average package is 10LPA. 95% of students got the placements.

Campus placement conditions have improved in IISc after the inception of campus placement cell. Average package is around I would say 25 lpa. Since most of the students go for higher studies from IISc hence, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personality I am also going for higher studies.
