One of the best institutes in my knowledge

The experience with this college so far has been very satisfying. Everything including the infrastructure and the extra-curricular activities has been so good. It feels like a blessing to be a part of this institution and be around such genius minds. Although, there is some room for improvement but all in all studying here has been a really amazing experience.

Getting admission is not so difficult in this college. I filled a form in which I was supposed to choose a stream, then, I got the admission here. I had to appear for interview after my form was checked and I chose my subjects. Class 12th scores matter for the admissions here. I was keen in taking admission here since it is a very reputed college in arts stream.

The course curriculum is nice and the syllabus taught here is very detailed. Practical learning is given equal importance as much as it is given to theoretical knowledge. The subjects may get boring sometimes, but the teachers try to make the lectures more interesting.

The college does not provide any internship, so students have to find it on their own. The teachers and the alumni suggest few sources to the students from where they can find internships easily, but it the sole responsibility of the student to find a suitable internship for themselves.

I have no idea about the placement process in our college. Though, there is a placement cell in our college which keeps the students informed about the companies that are coming for recruitment. Many companies visit our campus every year and most of the students get placed. I wish to do MA so I never bothered much about placements.

Many events happen in our college every year. COLOSSEUM, the annual fest organised is one of the best fest in the Chandigarh region and people from nearby colleges visit our campus.. The average footfall is big enough but is easily manageable. Other events like Star Night, Debate, Turncoat are also organised within the college. Every department organises its events. So all the year round something or the other keeps happening providing ample chances to students.

The fees is very less as compared to other colleges. It is around 19000/- per annum and is affordable for most of the students. Students who cannot afford the fees have other options like scholarships and loans.

Yes, scholarship is provided to SC/ST and other minority caste students of the college. Students belonging to financially weak backgrounds are also given scholarships so they can continue the studies. I I have not availed any scholarship till now.

Yes, the extra curricular activities are good in our college. They are good enough but lack administration. There are not enough facilities and students have to struggle a lot with lectures if they participate in any activity.

Yes, there are double bed sharing and triple bed sharing rooms in our hostel. The fees is very high, around 1 lakh per annum when compared to the facilities given in the hostel. The quality of food is also not very good and over years the hostel facilities have also degraded.

Yes, there is a good alumni network in our college. Constant programs are organized by our teachers where interaction happens frequently and they tell us about their experience in the corporate world and higher education.

The exams are not frequent and usually it is a chill culture. There are two internals and an external at the end of the term. Enough time is given for preparation so students don't stress much. I like the exam pattern.

The teachers here are quite experienced. The teaching methods are also appropriate and they are quite interactive. The teachers and students share a good rapport among each other.
