IIT DHARWAD REVIEW

According to my rank being a general, I was getting IIT mandi (biotech), IIT Jodhpur (Bs. Physics /chemistry), iit dhanbad, iit bhu etc. But due to my interest towards maths, I chose this branch where we are taught all subjects in the first sem common for all branches, in the 2nd semester many courses are common. therefore we are taught maths, bio, chemistry , and physics and after 3rd sem, you can choose the major according to CPI

Internships are offered from any year in college but to have that you need to have the required skills asking, most of the internships can be found from startups or well known faang companies for 3-6 months.

The placement culture is decent here. We have many companies visiting us in all domains be it core and non-core although more companies are inclined for the IT sector. The highest package this year went 55 lakhs and the average remained 16 lakhs. companies such as Texas instrument, Wipro, data analytics companies, finance companies as well. Overall the placement scenarios are good enough

The fees are around 3 lacs including hostel and mess fees. the opportunity of scholarship Is for EWS and reserved candidates + for general whose salary is less than 5 lakhs. Rest no scholarships for general students. the internships are provided as well from different sources But you have to need the prerequisite knowledge

Life at clubs here is decent enough, we have clubs ranging from Robotics, finance, astrogeek, music club, and sports club( has variety ie: cricket, football, chess, tennis, Table Tennis etc.) There are seniors as well conducting seminars in the various clubs enriching students' interest as well. There is a spiritual and yoga club for fitness and meditation followers as well. Overall the clubs/society will help in enriching student's overall personality

There are 2 blocks of hostel currently on the permanent campus. There are 8 floors in each block with attached lifts functioning. There are security and warden on the ground floor. The lower ground floor has a badminton area as well. 24/7 water and electricity supply available. The room has tube lights, and one night light. One downlight and fans with given beds, almirah, and a table and chair

I gave Jee advance and secured a decent rank to get into the other iits as well. The first step to get here is to give Jee mains, and then qualify it as I did with 98% tile. Then you go for jee advance and qualify it and then comes the josaa process. Apply for it and get into your desired college. a list of documents will be mailed to you by the college with the dates assigned in the mail to bring with you for physical reporting. After the verification is done, you get there officially and join the college
