Course Curriculum Overview

Nowadays artificial intelligence and machine learning have improved a lot in this generation 1:30. Most of the teachers are highly qualified and pass out from IIT and other famous institutes We have a term exam in every 2 months gap.

Course Fees: INR 175000 per year

Placement Experience

After completion of the 6th Semester students are eligible for campus placements at Wipro, Amazon, Cisco, Cognizant, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Bosch, and Jindal Highest Package is Cisco with 16lpa and the average packages are like 6lpa 85% Get a good job in an MNC

Fees and Financial Aid

Our batch got admitted with a course fee of 175000 but for the new admission students it is increased by 50000 Le 225000 and like that hostel, fees are also increased in this year State Scholarship, Jindal Scholarship, National Scholarship

Campus Life

Celegance is the most famous fest in our university and various types of hackathons are conducted for improvement of students' Annual athlete meet, dancing, singing competition etc NSS, NCC, Photography Club, Dramatic club, literary club

Hostel Facilities

Various types of room facilities are provided like 2 bed, 3bed, 2bed attached bathroom, 2 bed AC room etc. Meal quality is average as like other hostels The registration process is done at the time of admission

Obtained above 60% in 10th and 12th Board From Google, I searched about C.V Raman Global University and then from that link I got to know about the CGET entrance exam then after securing above 83%, I got admitted to this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.
