What Students Say
Likes
- No attendance compulsion. You can show up only on the exam day if you want. Considering all your projects are done.
- Library resources. It provides you with all the books you need.
- Teachers tell you about the questions important for the exam. Nothing else is gonna come lol. You can study the past year papers and you'll be more than good.
Dislikes
- Teachers don't teach well. They are arrogant.
- Poor management. You can never get anything on time from the college office if you need.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Com. because I was pursuing CA and most of its subjects are already covered there. I was in the restructure program because of course I didn't study in their college in 12th boards. I was not allowed to choose the subjects that I like in the first year, no matter how good I was in those. One doesn't have to worry about the faculty:student ratio because 90% of the students are not gonna attend the college since there is no minimum attendance criteria. According to the schedule everyday there are I guess 4-5 lectures, as in reality 2-3 are conducted at most. Some of the teachers don't even know heir subjects well. They will just give an introduction and solve a couple of illustrations and consider the chapter completed. Many teachers are arrogant, and they remember the students that attend the class and give them higher marks for the assessments, and judge the others poorly especially in front of the externals during viva.
Placement Experience
There were a handful companies that visited for placements at the end of the last year. Their packages were really low. I would say not to have any employment expectations from the college. Most of the bright students already have another course on going so they can't go for the placements much. So whichever students actually showed up for them got placed lol. And, many have future course plans decided already. The only thing that I liked about the college that it also provides NDA graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fess is low. The cost to study is really less too. I guess there is financial assistance available for students who need it. At the end of the year they do assist you for the interviews for the placements, which was the only thing I liked lol. I didn't apply for them but I saw pictures of my friends getting placed.
Campus Life
There are fests for students who are interested, they are fun I can say. The libraries are great to study to borrow the books and basically for everything. Library there used to be my second home. The campus life one can say is cool if you have a group, or else you will die of loneliness lol. There are many sports activities conducted. I remember my firends being a part of many like football, basketball, NDA. I was a part of chess, those people were great too, they help their students throughout their journey.
Admission
I don't think there is any eligibility criteria other than having a good percentage. The preference for grant seats are of course given to their previous students. I was from science stream in class 12, from ISC, so I had to apply for non grant. Well, the admission process is terrible. I guess you can get the admission form online but you have to print it out and go there and fill it out there and submit the other documents. And for me the college is far and I had to go there 5-6 times to get the process completed. They won't let you any information regarding your form unless you personally visit. For submitting documents if you forget even one minor thing, they are not gonna accept it. I would love if the whole procedure becomes online at least till the admission is confirmed.
