Course Curriculum Overview

the curriculum of BE in Mechanical Engineering in whole gtu is good, but I fill that order of subjects for respective semesters is not in perfect sequence, and some main subjects are given as optional. Student to faculty ratio for lectures is 1:80 and for lab, it is 1:20. Teachers are well qualified,(some exceptional are everywhere common). Exams schedule - 1 mid sem exam taken by the college and final semester exam taken by gtu. If a student is studying regularly, it is not difficult to clear the exam, but if someone thinks they will clear the exam with 1 or a few day effort then it is not possible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees- 1500 per year. Institute fees and exam fees have to be separately given. There are many scholarships available you can check it on the digital gujrat site, and avail it as per eligibility. There are campus placements for our department, but not everyone is placed.

Campus Life

There are many clubs such as ASME, IEI, BIS, etc. so you can't expect a minimum of 1-2 activities every month and sometimes many activities are going on simultaneously, so in short students get plenty of opportunities for their non-tech growth.

Admission

First students have to appear for the GUJCAT exam. Then after the declaration of the exam result, the student has to register in ACPC counseling in which he was given the rank as per marks obtained in GUJCAT. Then students have to do a choice filling for college and the course they want to pursue, based on the rank student is alloted admission to the respective college.

LIfe and Learning at PDEU

Placement Experience:

At PDEU, students become eligible after the 7th semester for the campus placements . Many top companies like IBM, Cognizant, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , TCS and many more. the highest package that went in my batch was 13-20 LPA whereas the average package is 7-8 LPA as per the company and profiles. Mostly 80-85%of the students got placed every year. Some students also goes for the higher studies or for their family bussiness.My plan after getting the degree is to join a AI/IoT company at better package.

Placement Experience:

My college provide internship and placement from 3rd year of course and student must not have any pending backlog in placement cell. There is many company come for recruitment if i give some name is torrent power, TCS, E infochips, adani power many. The student get highest package is around 20 LPA and the avg package is around 3 4 lpa and around 70 to 80 percent student got placed every year. Opportunity available in college and lifestyle

GEC Rajkot is one of the best college for electrical branch according to my renk. GEC Rajkot placement is also good. My admission process is as per acpc rank.
