Likes
- College atmosphere was good. It has all the basic facilities required for college and studies. Cafeteria here is quite good. It provide meal with decent price. It large playground along with swimming pool.
- Education provided here is also good. Course structure is balanced between theory and practical. There are lots of options for projects. Mechanical lab was also good. It had all the basic instructions
- Placement cell is also good. They will help you in preparing for the interview. They will teach you basics aptitude. Will create your resume and portfolio. You can also apply for leave in final semester if you are preparing for higher studies.
Dislikes
- Placement for mechanical was not good. None company visited for mechanical engineering. Even though they will prepare you for interview in IT company. After paying this much high fee still job is not sure.
- Here cry for attendance is too much. They will started shouting if you take even one day leave. If your attendance is less than 75% they will call at your house. You cannot leave in peace if you don't go college regularly.
- Even though the facilities were there but they don't have high quality teacher to teach them labs are there but the faculty there is not that much qualified to handle the situation and the doubts of students
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of mechanical is good. We had lots of lab experiments. I always had an interest in machines that's why I choose mechanically. Here a number of facilities were good. The ratio of the facility to the student is 1:10. The teaching method was good. We had smart classes. Exams were always held on time and it was of moderate level.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students can participate in placement drives. Here various companies visited but they all are IT companies. No mechanical company visited for placement. For mechanical career options, one can do M tech or MBA or can prepare for GATE and can get into PSUs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee was 120000 for tuition and the hostel fee was nearly 84000 per year. But every year they increase the fee by 5 to 10% We receive a scholarship from the Uttar Pradesh government. The placement. was not that good for mechanical. Most IT companies came for recruitment and they offer a max of up to 4.5 Lpa.
Campus Life
The campus of ABES was good. It has a playground and a mini Olympic size swimming pool. We annual fest named GENERO. The library here was decent. It had lots of books. It mostly provides all the necessary books required for the curriculum. Classrooms are equipped with AC and a projector. The quality of the seats was also good.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms were good. All the basic requirements were there in the room like bed fan table chairs. The mean provided here was decent. some days it was too good but some not that good. Overall it was nice compared to other colleges Registration process was easy. It all depends upon your merit list created on the basis of marks. I stayed in a hostel for all four years.
Admission
Took admission through the UPSEE Entrance exam. After counseling ABES engineering college was allotted. Eligibility for this course was 12th pass with minimum of 60% marks. Although if there are seats left vacant after counseling, they direct took admission on the basis of marks scored in the 12th board.
