College infrastructure is so much good and campus is totally lush green.
Placement is awesome and every student get placed .
Faculty members are really supportive and highly skilled.

Dislikes

College campus is open so there is lot of restrictions.
Student council here is selected body thus there is no transperency
Library is not 24*7 open , it opens for 9 to 8 in a day.

Course Curriculum Overview

I got this college and civil engineering branch at my rank and the course curriculum is good and smooth working and is totally based on new education policy , faculty to student ratio is 1:25. Mostly all the faculty have P.hd degree and are highly skilled, we have two exams in a semester comprising of midsem of 30 marks and endsem of 50 marks and teachers assesment of 20 marks.

Class Size: 112Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college has also good internship opportunities and around 50 percent students get intern with all students getting pre placement offers. I got intern in TSUISL- JUSCO where there was a stipend 40000 for two months.

Placement Experience

Students are elegible to sit in placements at 7th seemster . Google, Atlassian , Microsoft , Amazon , Flipkart and various other prominent companies of various sectors , highest package was 80 lpa and 99 percent students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the fee policy is as the government rules so there is no fee hike kind of policy thing in our college, Based on academic achivements our college does not provide and scholarship but we do have some scholarships provided by central and state goveernment.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is CULFEST which is organised in February , Library is having ample amount of books and access to e-journals is also there. We have classrooms with modern furniture , classes are well equiped with centralised AC's .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are well equiped with balcony , fans , study table and with LAN. Meal quality is awesome and its menu is very diverse . Registration process for hostels generally happens during the semseter registration by our supervisor.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Admission process was good at college , firstly students had to go through JEE mains exam for getting this college and branch as per their ranks , cutoff at my time during 2020 for my branch civil engineering was around 30000 , for my category and the last thing that i wanted to mention that here admission process should be done online mode.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . You have to score at least 75% in class 12th board to get admission ....Read More

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
