Likes

I like the campus life at nit jamshedpur because it is residential campus
We have a wide variety of course in engineering
Infrastructure is also too much good ..we have new academic building of 130 crore

Dislikes

It is open campus we do have a lot of restrictions in movement at night
Our library open only for 9am to 8 pm only

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I am passionate about civil engineering here faculty to students ratio is 1:25. Here almost all faculty hold phd degrees. In a semester exam conducted twice. first, mid-sem is 30 marks and end-sem of 50 marks. And 20 marks for teacher assessment

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have offered an internship from tata steel utilities and infrastructure limited Which is giving a 20k stipend per month for 2 months. They have projects like the construction of a water treatment plant at jamshedpur

Placement Experience

Students from the 7th sem are eligible for placement. Around 180 companies visited our campus including Amazon, Flipkart, Atlassian, and Reliance. The highest package is given by Atlassian which is 80lpa around 99 Percent of students got placed

Fees and Financial Aid

As such there is no fee hike yearly. yes, I got a scholarship from my state government. My college also provides job opportunities but right now I haven't been placed. General we have a job offer from all role for all branches

Campus Life

The annual fest name is a cultural fest and it is conducted in February. We have a central library which has a lot of books and access to e-journals. Class is generally well maintained and equipped by centralised Ac.

Hostel Facilities

We provided with single room with balcony. We paid around 20k in a year for accommodation Meal quality is awesome and the meal menu is so diverse. The registration process is done at the beginning of every semester by the hostel supervisor

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

The application process is quite easy and smooth. I have written the Jee mains exam in which I got qualified and got around 35k rank. After that, I participated in jossa counselling conducted by jossa in which I get nit jamshedpur civil engineering

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
