Remarks

The college is perfect i would say.The teachers are really good in their work.Socialising wont be required, all the students are very friendly. I am learning everyday.

Entrance Preview

I wrote an entrance test of 40 minutes which was meant to know our writing skills. The topics were very easy.I still remember one of the questions where we were asked to write about our biggest secret. Another question gave an option to choose between article writing and poem writing. One of my cousins is a pass out from Don Bosco and she suggested me to apply here. Yes, there was an interview round but it was really good experience for me.Before I entered the HOD's office I was really scared, but as soon as I entered all my worries flew away. The HOD was really polite and friendly was asked about my 12th standard board grades and about my hobbies. The interview round is an opportunity for you to create an image among the teachers. My cousin is an ex student of Don Bosco, she suggested me to join the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is really good for me.I have been able to develop my skill in writing. The college also starts at 9 am and ends by 1 pm,so you are left with ample of time for your extra curriculum activities!BMM is all about the practical world.Subjects like Sociology, Psychology, Effective communication skills and computers can be understood only through practical application. So main focus is on Practical learning. There are 8 different elective subjects and the students can choose any two of them.Extra 10000 is charg1d for the elective subjects. The elective subjects are :- Photography Copywriting Calligraphy Speech and Drama Dance Reporting Music Film making

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internships. The college has a good network with the professional industry.I will be getting an internship next year. You wont be earning a high amount from your internship initially but if you work good you may get a higher payment. In the field of mass media there is no fixed pay.

Placement Experience

0.5

The college does not provide any placement but there are a lot of internships provided. You have to prove yourself and get a job Infact you can earn an internship by your second year itself.I would suggest that after doing BMM work as a freelancer rather than going for higher studies.

College Events

5

The college allows students to take part in various competitions. The college also has its own events. The events are really huge ,all the colleges which are affiliated to Mumbai University take part the college event. The events are organised very well. The teachers are very active, they motivate the students to take part in the events. There are street plays, broadway shows, football matches, music competition, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is a affordable. Its not too high nor is it too low. The tuition fee is 23000 ,elective subject fee is 10000 i.e. 5000 per subject. 5000 for the tours which are pre planned by the college. 20000 for the extra devlopment of college infrastructure. The 6th floor is getting built for all the 8 elective subjects.Hopefully the batch of 2018-2019 wont have to pay this 20000.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the college does not provide any scholarship benefits.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The college does not privide hostel facility. There are lots of PG's in nearby areas. I am living in a rented house and paying 20k for the same. The food at college is hygienic and tasty. There are variety of items varying from south indian, punjabi, chinese to gujrati. The chicken shwarma are to die for!

Exam Structure

No, exams are really easy to crack! And we are made to visit the computer lab very often. We are taught how to use coral draw and photoshop. The computer lab has a projector ,so it becomes easy for the teacher to also explain a cocept. We are given frequent break during long lectures so there is a complete chill culture!

Faculty

5

The teachers are professional and carry a deep knowledge about their subject.I am not aware of their educational qualification but I can assure you that the quality of teaching is really good. All the teachers are very interactive. You can openly go and talk to the teachers about any problem that you face in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
