Remarks

Overall my experience at the college has been great. The college has best infrastructure with a life-size theater, auditorium, football field, basketball court,audio-visual system in each class and much more!

Entrance Preview

The entrance test is conducted for assessing the writing skills and the creativity of the students. The duration of entrance test is 40 minutes, which is further divided into 2 parts of 20 minutes each. Students will be given 2 questions to write.First one will be an incomplete paragraph, students have to write a story in relevance to that paragraph. In the second half, the students will be given a poem or article writing. After the entrance test, there will be a personal interview round where the HOD will be asking general questions to the students about their hobbies, interests and past achievements. I choose this course because I was deeply interested in advertisement and media studies. Also, the subjects are practical and easy to learn.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course I chose worked really well for me.I am really getting to learn something new every day.The subjects are interesting and practical.Majority of the teaching is on a practical basis, there are no theories or assumptions which need to be mugged up.There are total 6 subjects in each semester. The subjects change every year.Except for the regular 6 subjects my college offers a choice among additional 8 elective subjects, from which a student can select any 2 subjects. The extra subjects are Speech and Drama,Copy writing,Film making,Reporting,Dance,Music,Photography,Calligraphy.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college does provide internship but only to those students who are worthy of it and are willing to put in their 100% efforts.I am a fine student so i have yet not been provided with an internship opportunity, but i will be as soon as i reach second year

Placement Experience

1

Being a BMM student you cannot expect companies to come to your college and take students like they do in engineering. But every student does get a guaranteed job in their field of specialization. You can get internship within the first year itself as a copywriter or a content writer and earn your pocket money.

College Events

5

The college has its own events ,which are given different names every year. where all the colleges across mumbai participate. The events in Don Boscos is carried out with utmost dedication and discipline.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees is definately a little above average but the quality of education is worth it. Tuition fee - 23000 Elective subject fees - 10000 The college takes students to 2 different places every year and for the same 5000 has to be paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college does not provide any kind of scholarships.

Campus Life

5

The college helped me show and work on my hidden talent of singing and anchoring. The elective subjects that i mentioned previously are of great help. Don Bosco has also been the winner of inter college competition in the year 2015-2016,there is a basketball court and a large fooball field.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, the college does not provide hostel facility. There is a PG right in front of the college and in the nearby area. I am paying 10000 as rent each month. The food at the college canteen is awesome! The best item of college is chicken shwarma which costs just 50 bucks. The canteen is more of a cafe with open space, great food and cats to play with.If you are a cat lover then you will have a great break time!

Exam Structure

As a BMM student, you will be visiting computer lab regularly, during your computer classes to learn coral draw, Photoshop, etc. The computer teacher is very chilled out and entertaining, So your time in the labs will be the best time in the college!

Faculty

5

The teachers are highly qualified in their subjects.I cannot share their qualification details but they have an in-depth knowledge of their subjects. The teachers are very friendly and interactive with the students.Every student is treated equally and is given equal opportunity. The standard of teaching is really good.Teachers give practical examples from latest news stories, power point presentations and videos are regularly shown to students.Projects need a good degree of thinking and creativity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
