Course Curriculum Overview

CSE is the most booming course at the current time and also gives us a great package too. It futureproofs our jobs basically if you study hard. My college is co-ed. But we have 60 /40 ratio of boys to girls. The faculty is decent. Some are good and some are way too terrible. In my college exam are not that hard you can score average marks just by attending classes.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Placement Experience

For an 8-pointer student you can get a pretty good package from the top recruiters such as infosys, ust global, technopark, wipro, tcs. The placement starts in semster 6 and if you have back papers you will not be allowed to attend the campus placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is like 85k. The cost of study varies from person to person but it's not that big you just gotta buy records, assignments, notebooks and stuff. You can get a fee concession if you have a good rank in keam and you can continue it if you pass all the semesters without any back papers

Campus Life

The annual fest is once every year. It's not like a iit nit budget. So it's pretty decent. Our annual fest alternatively changes for 2 years between art fest and tech fest. It is usually conducted in April or May. Sports are null in this college. Sports only happen during the sports festival. We have NSS training, and clubs like GDSC, IEDC, IEEE

Admission

I wrote an entrance exam KEAM and was allowed on merit. So I got this college by chance not that I researched very much. Eligibility for CSE is physics, chemistry, and maths in 12. Every year the Kerala government holds this exam for allotment to various colleges in Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?
