I chose this course during corona when i understood the purpose of computers how it can be used to save many lives and how the infrastructure of our society depends on it . The faculty are awesome superb and some of them are also very strict . They ensure that each of the students unleash their full potential

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 87280 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As our college is situated in Kerala ( known for quality and cheap education) the fees structure as compared with other colleges are considerably low and also the quality of education is very rich and feees do not hike that much . Scholarships are available for kids with good marks and outstanding results in Kerala entrance

Campus Life

Oue college fest is where the spirit of all the departments come together. Our fest is named tejasvi meaning fire and ya our fest is literally lit ...we also have student clubs and many self learning circles and also clubs for those who would like to learn more outside the classroom

Admission

Admission process was very smooth and reliable. One teacher is assigned to guide you in the whole admision process. Application form can be found at the administrative block ,also there are also staff advisors who guide you in your journey and also you can avail scholarships by writing the Kerala entrance exam , based on that you can get additional benefits or fees exemption

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
