Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because NIT they have a 3-year program for MCA, Whereas in VIT we have only 1 yr (2 sem ) + fast track semester(3rd sem) which will be completed in 1 month in the summer break. So basically in 1 year, you will be done with your master's degree and you will then focus on your placements. There is a good number of faculty, all faculty are Ph.D. holders with vast experience and publications, The teaching method is good, it depends on faculty to faculty. There were 2 Midterms exams of 50 marks and then a final assessment exam of 100 marks same as the semester-end exam. All questions will be scenario-based, with no direct questions, but it is easy to pass if you understand the concepts and teachers' PPT.
Internships Opportunities
In VIT for MCA, they give 9 months internship opportunity with starting stipend of 10000 to 40000 - 50000 per month. NOKIA FOR R&D and other startup companies for different roles like S.D.E cybersecurity experts, Data scientists.
Placement Experience
we get eligible from 2 sem for campus internship offers and placements, Many companies visited campus for placement like NOKIA, Afford Medical, Cyraacs, BNP Paribas, cisco, Valeo, Equal, and many startup companies, The highest pack till now is 24 LPA for M.C.A. More than 75% of students get placed from mca in VIT. The placement cell is very good in VIT. I plan to work for off-campus placements and get a good offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know about the fee hike, but fees are moderate for M.C.A. There is a scholarship, available by VIT, but we get different mail regarding them, if you want to apply, you can. For Tamil people, there are many opportunities to get them.
Campus Life
VIBRANCE the famous annual fest and Techno VIT are the cultural and Technical fests in VIT. Vibrance happens in March and techno vit happens in October. The library is very good, 4 floors and every book is available there, you can issue up to 4 books at one time. The classroom is equipped with projectors and board and is spacious. There are many groups like GDSC, LINUX, DRONE SOCIETY and etc.
Admission
They conducted their own admission exam, VITMEE which is for the master's program. The exam fee was 750 and it was conducted in June 2022, it consists of questions from computer fundamentals and mathematics. There was no negative marking on it. Details of improvement - Declaring marks also with rank in results.
