- Strictlness of college like you can not go outside of college for more than 4 hours.
- Also the humidity here is lot because of sea.
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually, I want to do a master's that is why I selected this course. Here all the faculty are Ph.D. And the faculty-student ratio is also good here. Faculty are also very supportive here but there is always an exception. There is 4 to 5 month for 1 sem and they take 2 CAT exam of 50-50 marks after 40-40 days. After that final exam in last and also relative grading is here and exams are not too difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
More than 40 companies came for internships in college maximum internship offer is till now here is 12 lpa for mca companies like Nokia, IBM, and Philips are visited till now. Also set project is here for 1 year you have to do a set project which helps you in get knowledge and could help in placement.
Placement Experience
From 2nd semester some companies started coming and students are also available after 2nd semester. There are lots of companies like Cisco with 25 lpa. Valeo with 15lpa and lots of companies visited till now. For mca this year highest package is 25 and lowest is 4 and avg is 6. A maximum of 70% of students get placement offers. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for here are nearly 1.4 lac. And living expenses will go till 1.5 lac for a year. I didn't get any scholarship but it is available here the interested student can take also loan facility is here you can take a loan as well here.
Campus Life
Vibrance is subducted as an annual fest in vit Chennai and it is conducted in the month of Jan or Feb. And the library is good and big with AC and maximum books will be available here related to the course and nonrelated as well. The classroom is also big and a fan light speaker projector is there. Lots of sports and extra curricula like hackathons and other things are available for sports also good ground and lots of competition are available here.
Admission
For being eligible for mca in VIT. You need one bachelor's degree in math like BCA, bsc (comp. Science), or plan bsc. Etc. After that you need to fill application for the VITMEE exam nearly the application form opens in January. After that, you have to clear the exam Based on your rank you will be allowed campus nearly for getting admission to Chennai campus you need a rank lesser than 700 but sometimes it varies.
