Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen the civil department at Thakur Polytechnic and the in this college the faculties are very supportive. Qualifications of the faculties are M.Tech and B.tech, they are very good and the teaching method is good as well. Exams will be as per MSBTE, no delay will be in exams and the examination level is quite tough in the 4th semester.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

As per the MSBTE curriculum, you have to do 4 weeks internship after 4th semester, so the college tries to provide you with a company but most of the students go to their own industry for an internship. Last year you have to do a project and complete a black book in parts like half in the 5th semester and a half in the 6th semester. The college has a gym khana and various facilities that you can get without any one's permission.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very high for college, but you can get a scholarship from the Maharashtra government. For SC/ST It is around 3000/- per year and for OBC, EWS and EBC there is a 50% relaxation in fees. There is campus placement in this college but the eligibility criteria are 70% in ssc and 70% in all semesters with no backlog.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many events like Goonj ek aagaz, which is a cultural fest in college, tech fest, and many more events are organized every year, you will enjoy the events, a library of this college is very good and there is a huge collection of books are available, in sports there is a 2-day event in which every sport are covered, for cricket players the college organizes the district level competition. The social life of this college is very good.

Admission

The admission process is very smooth, no need to worry about the admission process. Eligibility for the Course is 10th pass with a minimum of 35%, and for Lateral entry, it is 40% in 12th. Fees are a little bit high for a diploma but there is a facility for reservation and for the non-reserved category, the option is available for EWS & EBC. For application, you have to register on the DSD portal of Maharashtra for the cap round process and for the non-cap process they take admission as well.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so good. In order to get a good package you must have a good cgpa around 7-8. If you have a good cgpa. You can get a good job offer with a annual pay for 5-6 lakhs. I plan to do btech/be after diploma. That,ll help me get a good placement. I can do btech here only if i manage to get enough percentage in my final year. If i couldn't i plan to get admission in keystone school of engineering which is a good college for engineering degree. Mostly infotech and proazure hire the most. There are other companies too. Around 60 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Rating of course curriculum of my college (PCP) the scale :- 1-5 | 5 = Excellent. • Relevance - 3.5/5(industry aligned but need modernization). • Comprehensiveness - 3/5(Cover basics but lacks interdisciplinary depth) Key aspects influencing course :- 1). Technical foundation - core engineering discipline(mechanical, civil, computer, etc)with a focus on fundamental skill. 2). Practical training - labs, workshop and internship linked to local industries. 3). Affordability and accessibility - polytechnic program at PCP are cost- effective and provide early entry into technical careers. My college has a robust foundation for technical education but requires strategic update to stay competitive.

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the heart of a student’s college or advanced learning experience. Curriculum is a college or university’s primary means of guiding students directions. Curricula should be reviewed and revised on a regular basis, better to serve the changing needs of both students and society. We are often urged to reassess the quality of our curricula. Faculties are responding to this challenge by turning their attention to long neglected issues. They are doing so as a practical means of both attracting and retaining more students, ensuring their success, and producing high quality, fair outcomes for everyone.
